I have no idea what all is included in this kit.

Dante talks about it in this thread

Although not for a Challenger, it lets me know something may be possible.
Appreciate the info.
I’m also trying to see if a door lock cylinder from something like a D150 might work?

In the 2nd link, it shows that Dante was a member here. Not sure if still is.

Try private message him or call their phone and ask if it will work for a challenger. My guess is yes.

I see the key blank between ignition and trunk is different.
Any way to mod, or swap a different cylinder for the trunk so the same key can be used?
Heard it was a patent issue with Toyota that forced them to use 2 keys.
At what point did they switch to 1, maybe that year cylinder would work?

Thx

I read this thread twice. My is response is WHY? That's the way all mopars I have owned were made. Ignition key Penta star and trunk key round. They were always different. (By the way they both go in upside down)

Tell me you're a millennial without saying it.

Most Mopar till the late 80s had 2 keys

They really go in upside up since that's the way most keys work. It's only upside down compared to a GM grin

Oh you touched a nerve on that, and brought up a bad memory on the "upside down" key.
Couple of years ago, getting the car aligned and see the guy spending way too much time in the parking lot.
I walk over and see he's jammed the ignition key in upside down and can't get it out.
Manager comes over and says "Just break it off and we'll call a locksmith"
[censored], I say hold on and let me try.
I fiddled and wiggled for 20mins and finally got it out.

So next time, I'm thinking I'll somehow leave the key in the ignition and zipped tied to column, so they can't pull it out.
These guys don't have a clue on old cars.
