Sadly long ago I had a really nice 383 4 speed Dart but simply viewed it as a dart with a 383 and a drivers side manifold I did not like. And so I drove and beat it without consideration for its possible rareness. STOP POTATO HATE!

I'd have to clean & paint the engine compartment, re-do the hood stripes, and deal with the trunk decal, which could also mean some paint work. Y2 is a tough color to match...

I placed a bid on it 26K and some change. I was the high bidder. I went to lunch when I came home the auction was over and the car sold for less than my bid??? I called the auction house and got some BS story. Not sure what happened. I still like the car though.

I think they probably just took an in person bidder over the on-line bidder bcause they didnt want to deal with on line stuff.........Who knows?

You should contact the seller and ask some questions, especially if he was there at the auction when he won it! Explain your situation, it should be interesting... topside Too Many Posts Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 22,027 A collage of whims	Carsten, that's pretty much my point: for me - and obviously opinions differ, and that's OK - the trunk lid & hood are a bit rough. Spiffing up 5% of the paint/details to me in a sympathetic manner is less invasive than the exterior restoration work many would do. But I'd rather not have to spiff up a survivor even that 5%... My own survivor car is nicer...and FWIW, I actually like it more than my restored car.
