Yes, 130 4-speeds. Looks OK to me! I believe it was one of the Soneff auction cars out of Denver...

I didn't realize the 4 speed production number was so low. Interesting. Remember that’s the ‘Cuda model production They made more 1969 Formula S 383 4-speed fastbacks also.

I wonder if that hideous Plymouth script is painted or just a decal n the trunk? Needs to be removed.......

Not any negative replies on this car so the masses must grasp its importance and rarity so Id ask the ones who know on how close is the asking price to being inline with current times? Sadly long ago I had a really nice 383 4 speed Dart but simply viewed it as a dart with a 383 and a drivers side manifold I did not like. And so I drove and beat it without consideration for its possible rareness.

I would gladly pay $25,000 for it.

I wont forget this car. I know I mentioned this before. I tried to buy tis car when it was auctioned off a couple years ago in CO. I placed a bid on it 26K and some change. I was the high bidder. I went to lunch when I came home the auction was over and the car sold for less than my bid???
I called the auction house and got some BS story. Not sure what happened.
I still like the car though. Same thing happened to me with this auction. I was high bidder online on several of the cars, and the sold for under my bid. Made no sense. When I picked up the car I did win, I asked the lady running the show there what happened. Just kind of got a blank look and shrugged her shoulders. There were some great cars, but something fishy happened for sure. I guess I should have went in person, but even then, fishy stuff happens...

I think they probably just took an in person bidder over the on-line bidder bcause they didnt want to deal with on line stuff.........Who knows?

I still like the car though. You should contact the seller and ask some questions, especially if he was there at the auction when he won it! Explain your situation, it should be interesting...

That's likely what the seller paid - good luck with that - I'm thinking that it's a $ 30,000 car if it runs & drives right and has no rust. I'd have to clean & paint the engine compartment, re-do the hood stripes, and deal with the trunk decal, which could also mean some paint work. Y2 is a tough color to match... I do understand the issue with the trunk. But I would never touch the hood stripes. Only original once. You want it nice and shiny? Buy a restored car and please leave survivors alone. Carsten
