An affordable Mopar build, I'd go with an Eagle Hemi though (09+ 5.7) - 650whp

Just great! The 5.9 swap into my 83 D150 has already snowballed into cleaning up the frame and whatnot ( I was outta cash to keep buying parts), and I think this is the right time to do the cab swap it desperately needs, and then I sit down on a Sunday afternoon and stumble across this post! Decisions, decisions... work

^^^ Haha, tell me about it...
My 1st Road Runner restoration started with "I'm just gonna pull the rear seat back and get that fixed"...
Within 2 weeks, I'd blown the entire car apart, had the shell in one buddy's shop, drivetrain stuff at several shops, yadda yadda.

Love the idea of the plain brown wrapper that annihilates whatever's in the other lane.

High 12 second passes?! Wow. Very impressive build and I love the stock sleeper look.

Funny... I remember derision and laughter back when I had the 360/4-speed Diplomat.

Not taking anything away from this car though. Got to see it up-close at MoParty. The party trick with the stock radio and horn button is killer!

Truth is, I'd only pulled the front clip off to swap in a clean rad support and new bushings. The old was so bad that one mount separated from the rad! While the clip was off, it seemed like a great time yank the slant and trans...I could"ve enjoyed driving the truck this year, but that darn snowball got in the way. Then work cut all my overtime which was my play money. runaway

I'm always looking at Diplomats. I look for Police package ones myself. I've had four at one time, down to just one now. 408 stroker and an awesome sleeper.

The LeBaron front end was a cool touch too.

The one here in this pic is for sale in Michigan. I don't have the link handy but just look Detroit and within 500 miles. It's a legit Police package. I see the extra welds and other signs. It is at under $5k

Think how cool one would be loaded with the continental package, even the stock wire hub caps but drag radials painted up to look like white walls - with a 1500hp turbo 3rd gen
