Good to see a new track opening, even if it's only 1/8 mile.

That is a very beautiful area of the state and not congested.
Far from an expert on the matter, but I assume a concrete track is a significant investment and indicates the mindset to build it right?
Hope the neighbors if any are on board.

That's cool. Look like many significant housing developments close to the track. It's not in the boonies.

I drove thru that area last weekend on the interstate and made the same observation. I also drove thru the area day after Hurricane Helene, which was also brushed by two other hurricanes weeks earlier.
The area has the right to be wet. Its Florida.
I do wonder why there is no silt fencing visible during construction.

Tampa area. Should be a great location for a track.

iagree Seems like most of the politicians are all on board. Good for them
Before Covid in the middle of state by the Big lake, in the middle of nowhere developers were promoting a very high end targeted private road race track with on site homes, garages and all the necessities, but not for spectators, without a neighbor within 10 miles.
The politicians were scared of the ricer crowd with fart pipes and killed it. This was in a county with the highest unemployment rate, that had the highest citrus market share in the state, that now has declined like 80% because of crop diseases.
The high end money that that would have pumped into the county with crews, support services, eating, hotels, etc with very little needed government support would have been incredible, with the year-round weather. They could have added a golf course and with all the local fishing it would have been a home run, and easily reversible if t it struck out.
But Nope, the fear of ricers sank it.
