I believe Performance Graphics in Florida restores the voltage regulator case and I believe cover is yellow. Hope this helps. Yes Performance Car Graphics did these. But Dave sadly has passed away. Mike Mancini has taken over the business. But I have not heard if he is doing them so looking to see what is available. Thanks

On the any line regulators the printing was white, yellow was what was sold at the dealer. ECS can do the scrip, but they are limited on the date codes, call them. Question, does the body have a raised bump on the lower left hand side? Sorry, never mind what I said, for some reason I was thinking Imperial, which was the first car that got the electronic reg.

Reproduction with electronic internals that I bought years ago with a 1968 date code for my 1969 Barracuda built in November 1968.

Factory original from my '69 Barracuda built in 1968 showing how the cover attaches to the base is not the same as the reproduction nor the eBay NOS.

Oops, my bad. The old regulator above is not factory original. I found a 1971 date code on the bottom side. It's most likely an aftermarket regulator since I would have bought it from a parts store, not a dealer's parts department.

But Now I'm starting to wonder what these are worth
What they're worth will vary with the person. One note on the regulator shown. To my understanding the assembly line correct version will have 3 bars on the back side. Two directly side by side and a 3rd opposite them at an angle. My opinion the one shown with only the 2 bars is possibly a later over the parts counter issued regulator. Does anyone have a spare clamp and hex head bolt for the Field side wire hook up connection they would be willing to part with?? I'm looking for those.

Here is the 3 bar version. I've got some of each. 3 bar is harder to find though seems like.
I wonder what the difference is inside, if any. Can't answer that! Actually I've never had the cover off one. I think if a person really looks close this can be seen on the car as the regulator sticks out from the firewall some. Small detail for sure but one none the less!!

So if Dave Patik says the red lettered regulators are only on 1964 through 1967 cars and dealer replacements, are the ones pictured by gtx6970 dealer replacements from 38th week 1968 and 26th week 1969 or 38th week 1978 and 26th week 1979? Since they only have 2 coils on the back I wonder if they are the later? MJ

FWIW, the VR cover on my 17,000-mile RR has yellow lettering. "059" on its cover, St Louis car, SPD 2/12/69. Pretty sure it's original to the car - looks the same age as everything else under the hood, but I haven't worried about its date (yet ).
