Just sitting here in our 65 degree living room. Sporting some sweats and a thermal sweatshirt…. We haven’t turned the heat on yet. Usually keep it at 78-80 in the summer. Definitely enjoying the $50ish electric bills over the $300 summer months

69 -70'ish during the day, 67 at night. Shop temp 65 at night and about the same once working for a bit

Wife would like it 70, I like 60 so we end up in between.

Furnace set at 69 indoor/ outdoor thermometer on kitchen counter about 20-25' away usually says 65. (9* f outside right now)

Normally 69 but accasionally bump it up to 70 - from 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Down to 65 all night. Anything hotter and we can't sleep! Shop is set to 60 all winter and 70 all summer.

here on long island oil for heating is expensive... just came off contract at 3.69 a gallon... the company offered me 3.62, and then 3.44... i can get cod oil at 2.45ish, but no contract ... i'm playing russian roulette with a 20+ year old furnace... we keep the heat in the house at 62/63... i like it cool... at nite bedroom at 60, with the window a bit open... in the summer , june,july,aug and sept we average 500bucks a month for ac.... but no heating bill... haha

72 at home, 60 at shop.

68 during the day...65 at night. -1 outside this am.

Here in Minnesota, it's below zero outside but I keep it 71 or 72° in the house, and 70° in the shop. I turn the shop down to 55 when I'm not going to be in there for a while, or 45 if I'm not going to be there for a long time. I don't want to die of pneumonia and leave behind all that money that I could have spent on the heating bill.

my wife likes it about 80, but i just can't stand it that hot ! i like 65.
no heat in the shop, and i like working in a t-shirt or very light long sleeve shirt. shop usually stays about 45 degrees unless i have the door[s] open.
it's 22 degrees here now, but supposed to warm up into the high 40's, low 50's next week.
last week, it was a balmy 18 degrees out when i took the garbage to the curb can without a shirt on.
my best buddy saw me and stopped. we shot the bull for about 15-20 minutes with me outside, and him inside his running truck with the heater on full blast, his heated seat and steering wheel on high, and him wearing his snowmobile suit, 15 sweat shirts, heated gloves and shoes, and crabbing about the cold.
i was perfectly comfortable without a shirt on, and i'm sure the passing traffic thought i needed committed to the nut house being dressed as i was. [and before you wisea$$es start, yes, i had a pair of blue jeans on. ]

Winter- 68 when lounging, 66 if I'm active 64 after bedtime.

Summer- 78

70-72 year round. Depends on the uv as to what we set it at. Maybe lesser if we have the fireplace on a lot.

Usually 66-71 depending of how cold it is outside. The woodstove gets turned down at night and cranked up in the morning.

Wife sets it at 68, I have my little heater in my room and I’m upstairs. Summer around 73-4. My shop has oil heater, fire it up if I’m in there awhile, takes 10 minutes to get warm, 40 x 60 x 12 ceiling. I have a 55 gallon drum for the diesel oil, it’ll last all winter on 55 gallons or less. House is heat pump only.

65 or66 at night after I go to bed, 68 to 70 in the days.
It has been below 20F at night and below freezing during the days the last couple of weeks

House is set at 68 in winter, 80 in summer.
Attached 4-car garage without HVAC runs 50 in winter, might hit 90 if it's over 100 outside - I'll add insulation in the spring.
I bought a couple oil heaters to get 60 in the garage if I want it warmer, and I'll run a fan in summer if I feel like it.
When I had my shop I ran it @ 44 in winter, but would bump it to 50 or so if I was working in it.

70-72 year round. Garage 64. No garage AC but doesn’t get above 78 in summer.

Summertime its 72, winter 70. I'm lucky energy is cheap where I live. In the winter my bill is never over $150 and that will only be January and February. This past summer my highest electric bill was $162.

COLD ! We live in a 162 year old farmhouse with an oil furnace with limited heating ducts and 11 rooms and 3 bathrooms. 3/4th of the house is surrounded by open farm fields. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr If we could have it the way we would like, the temp would be 72-74 F all of the time, but you just have to live with 65F-68F in the main living areas of the living room, dining room and kitchen by frequently adjusting the thermostat.
