I guess the embargo is off. As I would expect Motortrend pretty much loved it because they won't say anything bad about EVs. Throttle house liked a lot of things but said you probably shouldn't buy it. The one they had was riddled with problems.

There was an executive ride and drive a few months ago from Auburn Hills to Northern Michigan. 3 of the seven experienced "issues" and one of those three had to get towed back to Auburn Hills. Now, the vehicles used in an executive ride-and-drive review are checked out by all the key engineering groups prior to the ride. And they still had a poor performance outcome.

I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!

Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

Or simply just NEVER put a European in charge of deciding what cars that Americans will want.

Carlo Tavares had absolutely no clue of what Americans want.

Trying to shove a European EV mentality into Americans was never going to work.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Sounds like they should be marked for export only then.

I sorta like the body style and I think the dash layout is nice vs the worn, worn out deal we have seen forever but the rest seems just like an EV with the performance side thats had its balls cut off. 5600 pounds and I thought the hellcat charger was a pig. 5600 pounds... wow.

It costs more than a Tesla with much better performance and fit/finish. Stellantis really screwed the pooch on this one.

I was at my dealer today getting my Ram serviced. The service manager told me there is a really good chance the Hemi will be back, at least in trucks.

The 6.4 still exists in the 2500/3500, but it could use a bump in displacement and an update to work with the Ferd 6.8/7.3 and GM 6.6. Dodge can then pop a blower on it and make another Hellcat with 800-1000+ HP

As for the 5.7 in trucks, the 3.0L makes 420hp and 550hp - you'd have to be pretty hardcore to choose a V8 that makes less instead of them in your grocery getter 1500. It'll be a hard argument for the Charger as well, but there should be a blower V8 top dog model - and thats how they do it, share with the HD trucks as they do now (same block and heads)

LOL. Let me know when there are real world, long term reliability numbers as well. Ford touted the 3.5 twin turbo in their 1/2 ton trucks as well as being more powerful than the V-8's they replaced until guys started using them as real trucks in towing applications. Then they went kaboom. Stellantis does not have a track record of producing new products that from the get-go are flawless.

If I read the information correctly, BOTH Ram V6s are twin turbo. That is an additional level of complexity. We all know of the problems they have had with the MDS system, so any additional complexity is just asking for trouble. And as mentioned, it is new, so...................

When pushed like with a load, or in hilly conditions, the V6 doesn't get much better mileage than the 5.7. But some reports say it is peppier.

True about long term durability but from what Ive seen its pretty durable. I saw a towing test where all the trucks had to pull a back hoe up a mountain, the GM V8 overheated and the Ford ecoboost also overheated, the hurricane did not
