🎯🙄😳🤣🍻

because engineers don't think like regular people.
I had a job where we made software for doctors.
I told them you can't build it like this, they will screw it up.
I got told, that they must be smart because they are doctors and let it go.
of course the doctors broke it.

Engineering and Quality use - in most organizations - DVP and R. In order to ferret out design flaws. Manufacturing has it’s own controls. They are all supposed to keep design and process defects from getting out.

But the service community is not well understood by the guys within most organizations.

Then you have people that can ruin an anvil in a sandbox with a rubber mallet.

You mean dealership techs with less than 10 years experience???? they are getting worse as time goes on. On one of the forums the DS tech diagnosed a bad R&P unit (2600.00 + labor IIRC). Being low mileage, the owner took it to a friends mechanic. The problem was a loose steering shaft coupling. After removing and inspecting the parts for wear he reinstalled them and tightened the coupling. EOP whistling beer
