Jeff Van Drew - (R) ... parked off of our east coast.

He just appeared on Fox News with Harris Faulkner. Says he has this from "very high sources".

He says the "mother ship" is Iranian and was parked off of the East Coast a month ago and it is housing these "SUV- sized" drones that have been flying over NJ. Says Iran purchased the technology from China.

We live in central Jersey (Monmouth County) and haven't actually seen any drones. We did hear a few low flying helicopters that could have been drones, but didn't pay it much mind.

In WW2, there were German U-Boats not too far off the east coast - they were picking off supply ships like sitting ducks. One even made it's way up into the Chesapeake Bay. Our technology is light years advanced now - so advanced that our radar can't detect drones the size of Ram pickups.....................

They just busted a Chinese guy for flying drones over an air base in California taking pictures. Got him just before he boarded a plane back to Chyna.

Two fighter jets just flew over my house, northern Ocean county headed east / northeast. We very rarely see them around here.

When it comes to the drones in question it should be pretty simple. If there's a concern of drones over any sensitive area or vehicle/vessle and they aren't owned by the boat owner or coast guard and no department is claiming them take them down. These days you don't know who might be operating them or why.

Heard a clip on the radio yesterday saying they don't know who's drones they are but there's no threat to the general public.

My motherinlaw(Ma)told us look they captured a drone,as the caption said and showed a pic..Well someone took a Pic of star wars tie fighter prop on a tractor trailer!

Funnyest thing I heard when someone who does commercial training for drones (agricultural, power line service, law enforcement, etc.,) was if they thought they might be spy or secret surveillance drones and the person said "No, if they were then they wouldn't have LIGHTS on them" DUH.

There are plenty of Drones flying without lights I can't see.

So let's just say one is spotted in the no fly zone, Where are drone police to find out who's it is and where it came from? Now we will have police drones with flashing red and blue lights chasing after other drones? Actually this is what they should do, Follow them then they would know where they are coming from and who owns them. There was a clip on the radio the other day from the Governor, " there is no threat from the drones". They still don't know who's they are or where they are coming from but the gov says it's safe.

Why bother chasing them? Gravity is our friend here, drop them right on the restricted property, makes a better case in court, reduces chance of harm to the public, and gives the luxury of time and location for any needed investigation.
Of course, the likely countermeasure then will include a small amount of highly flammable self igniting liquid to self-destruct the drone upon crashing, destroying most evidence.
