I thought 833 prduction ended in 87 I don't think you can turn down the large retainer to 4.35 with cutting into the bolt holes I have done that on the larger 3/8 front bearing B/RB,426 hemi bellhousings It was close to the bolts but worked fine in my car so far, I haven't put 100 miles on that car so far, maybe next summer I can drive it some more

If I was you I would look for a NP833 out of a 1966 to 1971 273 or 318 C.I. A body, not one from a 340. The 273/ 318 trannies have 3.08 first gear instead of the 2.65 or 2.66 first gear which is easier on the clutch around town The later over drive trannies use that low gear also but some little motors don't like the over drive in high gear
