What about if you test both with 87 octane gas ?

We're not testing a Hyundai sonata. This is performance motors from the muscle car era. Give them what they want.

I'd be curious to know. For an given quench and dynamic compression. What fuel will tolerate that compression

hmmm. I seem to remember that one of the advantages of the early hemi head was tolerance of low octane.
