When Holly’s (McClain’s wife) plane lands on the fire trail, isn’t it going the “wrong way?” It passes over the General’s exploded cargo plane, THEN into the lengthy fire trail. In other words, the General’s plane attempted take off right to left. Holly’s plane (and those lined up behind it), land left to right. I thought landings and takeoff’s were normally the same direction based on ambient air lift direction. Am I wrong?

Am I wrong? Yes, the landing direction is usually dictated by the wind and its velocity. I have landed on several runways that are on such an angle that you have to land uphill and take off downhill When the winds are calm and there isn't a control tower operating you can use which ever runway you want to use Some airports have what is known as a calm wind runway and you should use it when the winds are calm or the local airport automated radio instructions (ATIS) say to use it

Yeah - that kind of thing in movies & TV is called "continuity". Could be that wind direction changed, or someone (typically producer or director) wanted a concise shot, or they just screwed up. Back in the day, my buddies in "The Industry" were forever pointing out that stuff - and "boom shots", shadows, contrails, tire marks, etc etc when we'd have a movie party. Been going on forever - I remember seeing a late-1940s truck in Hogan's Heroes episodes as a kid...

Most trucks seen in background on camera shots of modern movies are already on set grip trucks, that are configurated vastly different from any OTR or commercial delivery trucks. Biggest giveaway, they all have numerous large underbelly side locker boxes.
I'm with Helmuth Hübener, and no soup is being served today.

I just thought the whole landing issue was strange You mean like the jet fuel/kerosene would never have a fast enough flame speed to actually catch a lifting off 747 in below freezing weather spilled on snow and completely ignoring the spreading flame fighting simultaneously the exhaust blast of the multiple jet engines? Strange indeed.
I'm with Helmuth Hübener, and no soup is being served today.
