Not sure if this helps. But I have a 340 and is a complete 69 long block. 9-11-68 with a vin number LM23P9B209857

Yes it is from a Swinger and yes earlier build. They quit using full vin Jan 1st of 1969 so your car would only have last 8 of vin on block

I have a Mid Jan of 69 car and the vin started with 221 so I would guess this is a late Dec motor vin. So this will give you an idea of how far back your block could be like 3 months before you build date so a Dec or Jan is gonna probably be the date casting for your car.

I've been looking for the original block for my 69 GTS convertible since 1995 with a VIN of 9B306021 and figured the casting should be around Feb 10, 1969. If you guys work a deal I can bring it up north...

I'm not on FB, but I can see a few posts there before it shuts down. Interesting ad. Pricey. Advertised as a 68 block, stamped as a 69, and cast as a 67. If I"m seeing things correctly. appreciate it.

Yeah, that one is quite unusual but the VIN stamping looks correct. Chrysler didn't have FIFO back then, so early blocks like that could have sat around for a while... work
