That’s the guy selling on eBay. He claimed you have to order like 50k worth or 50k pieces to get it filled. Or 20k. Whatever, if that’s true then that’s a lot of tins to sit on and wait and nobody will be doing that.

I want my fair share

So how much would you all pay if it was repopped? How many do you think of each engine call out would sell? I'm thinking yes there are people who want but the demand proably doesnt out weigh the cost of tooling?

^^^ That's the major problem: volume. Secondary is probably price point.
Workforce, transport, and fees are other factors.
A buddy of mine makes racecar & repair tools, sells a fair amount through Summit, Jeg's, etc - and typically has to order component parts by the at least the 1,000s. Sometimes a lot more.
Without that volume, it would be pointless, and when I sold them online, my margin was too small to continue.
Couple all that with a small market (vs. say, Camaros or Mustangs), and the relative cheapness of Mopar folks - you see it here every day - and it's a tough road.

I'd bet there's damn few needing TNT440 tins - 383 & 440 tins would likely be the most - but how many ? And what, $50 each and people start crying ?

They repro new 68-69 Unsilenced Air Cleaners. Every one of those would originally have one.

These repro guys play games where someone says they are repro'ing something just to hold the spot and keep others from repro'ing the part. Or they open their mouth before the do their homework. Then, over time when nothing happens it turns into a staring contest.

Well, for once I got lucky. I put off for a long time to buy one for my 70 charger 440 magnum. I called Mancini one day and they told me he’d have to check the inventory right quick to see what they had because mopar had stopped making them. I bought one for every car I had in the shop on the build list. $50 or so apiece.

Is it tricky since it's not flat?

Wonder if something like this would work

I have seen several of them on eBay over the years that are 100% flat, and they have all the graphics on them. Based on that evidence I say they apply the color to them first on flat stock, and then stamp the shape in them afterwards.

Still waiting to hear back from the places I was told knows the details on who was making them.
