for many, many years now, i have used black RTV to seal the china walls on small blocks instead of using gaskets.
i also remove the locating pins, as they tend to hold the intake proud at times.
if it were me, i would remove the intake and do away with the china wall gaskets and locating pins.
just my opinion and personal life experiences.
your mileage will vary.

^^^ Same here.
Doesn't look like much sealing area in the photo.
Rear china wall gasket may be doing the same thing.

If you insist on using the gasket, about the only way I've gotten it to work is to glue it to the block.

Did you put a dob of adhesive silicone, not gasket maker silicone tsk, in each corner to seal them up (head to intake manifold) ? If so your good, if not I would and do wrench scope

Well I was thinking about taking it back loose, see if I could move the front gasket back a little & run a bead of the gray silicone on top of the gasket!, because I just used it on the corners & some on bottom of gaskets, none on top!

If you can move it without taking it apart trying to seal it from the outside won't do anything or last. Save your future time and pull it apart and replace those end gaskets with RTV.

if you take apart, just loose the end gaskets and use a bead of RTV. don't forget to also remove the locator pins.

Don't believe in silicone gasket in a tube except for the corners where the cut gaskets meet.
I've had small block gaskets where that much of the front and back end gaskets look like what yours do and not had a problem.
Sometimes I do trim away the excess with a razor knife once the rtv gets set up and the manifold is cinched down tight.
I do agree with pulling thè dowel pins in the middle of the China wall.

Yep, 3M weatherstrip adhesive is magic, lol. But two things, make sure you get a fresh tube and you had better make sure it is exactly where you want it before you set it in place, you'll not be able to adjust the position.
