THIS WAS 15 YEARS AGO. If there has not been a problem in the last 15 years its not the current issue.

I have no clue to the rationale behind banning Nitrous Oxide, but it has to rank up there as one of the most asinine things I've seen! "Oh no, people are spraying really cold oxygen with some nitrogen to stabilize it and tiny amounts of sulfur!"

I get mine from a local welding supply store. I have 4 mother bottles that I exchange and then I fill my own 21 bottles as needed. Most sources will not sell to the general public any longer. I had to set up a "racing business" account with them to continue having them fill them for me.

Possession and use for recreational purposes was made into a criminal offence a couple of years ago, though use for motorsports was exempt.

"Oh no, people are spraying really cold oxygen with some nitrogen to stabilize it and tiny amounts of sulfur!" It may have been more about having a pressurized tank in the car in case of a bad wreck or fire.
