Sure will. Its been a learning curve on this Hemi stuff. Originally planned on external oiling, but with all the complaints on loosing prime, i would rather use internal with the 1/2 pick up. BME says it will work, but i am yet to get the pick up tube and see for myself. Any of you with 4.5 stroke use internal oiling?

The 572 in my Arrow supposedly has this cam in it. Any suggestions on shift points? Have been shifting it at 6800, also, runs thu lights at about 6900. The DA at Acton track hangs around 6900 ft. Likes timing up at 39 degrees. Car wieghs 2600 lbs with me in it. Ran a 5.68 @122 in 1/8 last weekend. Jim.

with that ET and Speed I’d say the combo is pretty good. Personally I’d just increase shift rpm 100 at a time til it slowed down. What compression do you have? Intake? Heads? Carb? Does your Arrow have a glide or a 3 speed? What converter? I’d say 7,000 would be my starting point but hey if it doesn’t like it, it doesn’t like it. If it’s a bracket car and it is consistent, why mess with it? Especially with a Hemi, if it likes lower RPM, it’s only going to make it live longer.

When the 540 was built we were hoping to shift it at 7,000. Quickly we realized that wasn’t going to happen and 7,500-7,700 it was.
When the 572 was built we hoped the engine speed would come down a little bit, also didn’t happen lol. In fact the 572 seems to like more RPM than the 540. But in fairness we never got the 540 totally sorted out before it failed. I know our cam is on a 112 LSA installed around I believe 108-109, can’t remember. But I know the 112 LSA is also attributing to its love for RPM.

Try shifting it 500 RPM lower and then maybe try shifting it 500 RPM higher work scope
You don't learn if you don't test work
My last drag car (1970 tube chassis Cuda) weighed 2850Lbs.with me in it, it would run high 8s in the 1/4 mile at Woodburn dragstrip in July and August. I would have the box shift that motor at 7000 RPM normally, I decided to tr shifting the powerglide at 7300 versus 7000, that RPM change ended up making that car go 2 MPH faster in the 1/4 mile shock
The run before that was 8.862 at 148. 3 MPH and the run shifting at 7300 RPM 45 minutes later was 8.866 at 150.7 MPH, 60Ft ET were exactly the same,660, 1000 ft were the same confused
Test, test and test some more up scope wrench up

Motor has a single 4 intake, I believe its a Stage V. Heads are Stage V, from around 2003 or 2004 era. Supposedly it has 13 to 1 compression. 1250 dominator. TCI converter, feels like stall is around 5000 rpm. Its a ladder bar car with 4.10's and a T/flite. 15-33 Goodyears. Have tried launching car from 5400 rpm down to 3500 currently. It usually runs the best at 3500 launch rpm. Last pass it dead hooked and yanked wheels straight up about 4-5 ft and red lit me big time. Appears it 60 footed off back tires. Always comes down smooth and easy. Gonna try moving ladder bars and possibly a lower launch rpm. I want to try the 7000rpm shift, just ran out time. It has been going thru traps around 6800 to 6900 rpm. Jim

Jim it sounds like how our cars are on the 1/8 mile as far as trap speed usually within 100-200 of shift rpm. Car sounds fun and is fast. You’ll have to let me know when you try out the higher shift if it likes it or not. My bet is it will. I’d be curious to see a GoPro video from in the car with focus on the tach to see what the converter flashes/stalls at on the launch and the fallback rpm on the shift. But I’d say with the cars ET and MPH it’s a good setup.
