Couple months old video. Some may have seen it already, but it's new to me anyways.

Thanks, that was fun.
Not sure what that rear suspension was with those single leaf bars?
Those two rear trunk mounted levers are for swaybars?
Challenger stuck once tires got up to temp, or the track dried.
Could not figure out the driver's footwork, looked like he was clutching, but not shifting at times?
What 5 speed is that?
That was a late model Nascar Dodge motor?
HP is nice.
Did the cars in front of him in first heat run away, never saw any until pit road?

Cool, thanks for sharing.
Lots to take in - credits said Hollinger 5-dpeed, looked like dogleg 1st. Missed the description of rear suspension.
Definitely a different rulebook than Vintage TA here, not a surprise.
Footwork was heel & toe - some guys do it club-footed, some pigeon-toed, which to me is more natural as I kind of walk that way laugh2
Watching him shift - outside palm for rearward upshifts - tells me it's a close pattern, with maybe a zing or two in earlier days.

I agree, driver was a true talented road racer, but occasionally he was moving his left foot while his right was either on the gas, braking or was heel toeing but would not touch the gearshift. Now he might have had oddly IMO, using both feet on the brakes, but it wasn't clear, and why i brought it up, I'll watch it again and get some specific times to review,
I'm unfamiliar with that tranny, I assume it's rather beefy, I liked it.

It appears he is left foot braking under throttle for traffic or to set the car for corner entrance, which is a method, my confusion seemed to incorrectly view it when heel toeing, around 8:06 might be one example.

Yup, if he has enough rear brake bias, a tap can help the car rotate.
Different methods for different guys, y'know - even Cup guys.
(Knew a guy - Les Lindley - who'd shove a TA car in, go like 4th directly to 2nd, and blast out.)
When I get time, I'll watch it again.
