The foam pedal gasket obviously has to go on the interior between the bracket and firewall BUT which side of the firewall does the gasket for the master cylinder support plate go ??

The gasket would only be useful between the plate and the firewall .

I'm at this stage with my road runner. I've read that for manual brake B bodies a gasket was placed between the plate and the firewall but not between the master cylinder and the plate. Can anyone verify if this is correct?

Yes that is correct. Big gasket between plate and body, small gasket between Master and plate.

My kit from DMT had an assortment of brake gaskets. I got three for the m/c - one of which is a cardboard gasket, the other two are foam. One has the shape of the power brake hole so I figure that one goes between the booster and plate, the other has a round hole so I used that one between the aluminum 2-bolt adapter and the plate. The rubber boot will go between the 2-bolt m/c and the adapter. The large gasket in question ... seems to be a concensus that this one goes between plate and firewall.

Are you assembling a bare shell? Do you have a copy of Rick Kreuziger's assembly sequence ??

Yes, bare shell. I followed the sequence somewhat - I had to jump around depending on what parts I had ready to go. Saw this Link (post 2) and held off on installing the gasket until I could confirm if one should go between the master cylinder (manual brake car) and plate.
