^^^ Precious !

Most of those cars look pretty familiar - I guess trolling the auctions is their purpose now.

I thought Mecum did a better job than that. shruggy I guess not. tsk

If I was the buyer of this car and found out, I would sew Mecum as well as the owner.

Super Track Pack 4.10 geared Hemi cars rarely have numbers matching motors.

Mecum will inspect the car on its arrival at the auction and will verify the VIN numbers on the car. They do not go as far as looking at restamps on the block and such - buyer beware! It's not Mecum's responsibility to go over every car. If you have never been to the auction, my best advice is ALWAYS go look at the car in person.

They do advertise cars before the auction, but it will get yanked if something is amiss with the VIN. Remember the black '71 hemicuda convertible that was advertised for the Harrisburg auction and then never went across the block? whistling tsk

Kind of hard to do a full blown inspection at the auction. You would need a lift or at a minimum floor jack to see all the stamping numbers. Auctions scare me personally!

They will get as much as 20% of the sell price....for $60K they should have some liability.
It's blatant and documented.
I do watch but don't trust Dana when he tells someone to sell their Moipar and buy a Camaro or a Nova.

If you ask at Mecum to do that, they will. You'd be surprised by what I've seen at them do at the auction for someone who wants to see that kind of stuff.

I have never seen that, if they will do that for a bidder that is commendable!

There is nothing wrong with having a different engine.

Re-stamping an engine is a Federal crime.

Selling a vehicle with altered numbers is fraud.
