It’s not as wild as it used to be, but we still have a good time.
Been there every year since 1984.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

once upon a time it was a great weekend.... espec brice road.... i think the great days have passed...
Brice Road at night is no place to play anymore, The Nats have to compete with Roadkill Nights Now, But its still a good time.... you get out what you put in

I do plan to be there spectatin'.
As said, roadkill nights was competing with it years ago and it continues. "Sponsored by Dodge" and corporate has always hated the Nats (so I am sure the time conflict is pure coincidence).
It does seem to be less and less to spectate about over time but is still a good time and close enough to home I don't have to sacrifice much time to go. Never know, might pick up.

Like Rich above, it's close, 4-1/2hrs away. Always a GREAT show for us (except when it rains). We do darn near as good in sales as Carlisle and at Carlisle our sales were up 20% so the hobby is still HEALTHY. And a big shout out to Vinny Denorio (VinnyD), our consierge for hooking up great rooms CLOSE by at the Hampton.

last time was two years ago. Just a shadow of what it used to be. No hurry to go back. We have a good time there every year, it all boils down to what you expect out of it. We see people that we only see at the Nats every year. If you're expecting it to be like days gone by, there's a reason that they're called "Days gone by" they're the past. Lets face it, most people don't drive their old musclecars there anymore. If you're lucky they will at least trailer them there. It's all about "investment value" anymore with old cars rather than driving the cars there. A lot of "I don't want to put the wear on my car" The fact that Dodge sponsors Roadkill Nights the same weekend I'm sure has a LOT to do with lower car counts. They sure don't want anything to do with the Nats anymore. That probably has some to do with fewer cars and an empty midway. We'll go and we'll have a good time and enjoy it even if it isn't what it used to be.

Hooked me up with brand new bumpers for the GTX at a substantial discount.

last time was two years ago. Just a shadow of what it used to be. No hurry to go back. You won't be missed by all the rest of us who still go and enjoy everything there. The burnouts at the Lake by far exceed the cop regulated ghetto of Brice Road. The last few years have been great compared to the past.

I'll be there as usual, maybe I'll even get a car there this year. Although I don't anticipate having any more luck at that than normal. It's always a good time for me and the trio from MI. It is what you make it.

Went once back in 1992 as a racer never again , racers were treated poorly and almost seemed like an afterthought with most emphasis put on show cars snd the swap meet . It was a long tow from N.J.if I am going to tow a long distance again it would be to the Mopar race at Norwalk

I made hotel reservations this morning for The Nats. Lots of good memories from Nats gone by.....and looking forward to returning this year after several years of life and work getting in the way! I hope to see lots of car buddies from all over that I usually only see at The Nats. I'm only going as a Tater......as in Spectator!

Found that in a clean out a few weeks ago.
“Where were you in ‘92?”
I drove the GTX to the Mopar nationals in 3 shades of primer with a whole bunch of poorly executed metal repair and body filler.
I probably should have spent what that trip cost me on the car Instead but didn’t want to miss out.
Experienced total exhaustion, hung out with some very cool folks And had a freaking blast. I’m sorry not everyone did.

I'll be there like always, my first one was 1984 at the Indy 500 track! This may be my first one in years I don't swap, didn't get a spot as I have been with the Umbrella People helping them sell off their inventory over the last few years. We have an AirBNB in the middle of the action in Buckeye Lake, should be interesting...

I'm excited for another year. Its always great in my book. Check out our video from last year's fun - https://youtu.be/HOgnJImxVHI (the belvedere got to the finals one night) Stop by and say hello - we'll have the roadster and belvedere out there. Buckeye Lake police (RT 79 South of NTR) released a note warning that burnouts and reckless driving would not be tolerated this year.

Will be there again in the swap area, spots L11-L12. Stop by for some shade or water! We will have mostly Challenger/E-body parts...70-only trim, 440-6, T/A, gauges, starters, alternators, etc. Hope the weather holds! See ya there, Tim
