Went to mid Michigan Motorplex for the second and third races of the GLSSA series. Additionaly there was a N/SS only shootout and Stick shift only shoot out on Friday night. We ended up in the final. But my poor .075 r/t forced me to go under taking the stripe. So a runnner up it was. The stick shoot out was more exciting as 82 year old ben Wenzel in the 67 Camaro Z28 he bought new faced off against 82 year old Paul Mecure in his 69 Camaro SS 396. Ben took the win with both cars well in the 10's in Stock eleiminator trim. Saturday was a rainout but we had a great BBQ under the tower overpass provided by Rock Hass and Mike Wagner of Ramchargers. Since there was rainout Sundays purse was doubled. We also can donate to a pot which goes to the last racer that bought in. First rd I finally started to hit the tree. a .012 got it done on the brakes. Rd 2 against my friend Dave had him on the tree by .020 again on the brakes. Rd 3 was a by car ran .007 under the dial with a .004 light. Should saved that run for when it was needed. Rd 4 is was behind by .020 at the tree but ran dead on .004 on the brake and got it done. Rd 5 neither of us was great on the tree. But I was better along with dead on .006 was good for the win. So rd 6 the final. Stage the car and realize the tach recorder button is on early. I try to reset it and the tach goes into shift point mode. I fumble with it it stupidly. The tree times me out with a red light. What a dummy. Anyway a great weekend. Been to 4 finals in 6 attempts. Brought home over $6500 so far. Doug

Moved the cooler to the front. Never went over 180. Doug [/quote] I had a feeling that would be the case after you moved it up front. Great stuff.
