that turned out great ! do you have a shot of the pen you used to outline the bezels ? how durable are the coatings those pens contain ? thanks in advance ! My wife had them, sorry no brand name on them. They are used for painting rocks. So far the ones she painted and are outside have held up well. I thought about clear coating them after but thought I would give them a try. I applied two coats.

On Noooo! The snowball has started down the hill..... Does anyone no how to stop it? Decided to paint the dash pad and glove box while the gauges are out and easier to get to. But now the dash frame needs to be painted, and I can get to all the wiring and fix that.

But I know I will probably never get the dash this far apart again, so I may as well address the things I can get to while it torn apart.

And, while your there........ Ain't that the truth. OR...you can pretend that you never saw any of that and it might be ok. sounds like my charger. i got it running again late last summer, late september, after being set aside to deal with increasing health issues in 2006. pulled the junk original carpet, with the intention of replacing it and being done. then i discovered a couple of minor wiring issues, and fixed those. then it was to clean and lube the seat tracks, touch up a couple of surface rust spots, then the interior will be done. but while the carpet was out, i thought that is a good time to run new speaker wires to the rear deck, so new speakers will work great when i send out the am/8 track for internal upgrades. then i figured i would inspect the rear harness just because. that turned out finding a broken wire for the back up lights [which is why they stopped working years ago], and the cloth braided stuff protecting that harness was going bad. fixed that, then found mashed wires going to the console to be fixed. then decided to repair the emergency brake because the seats and carpet was out, making access to the pedal assembly was easy to access, and on and on and on........................AARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG ! well HOPEFULLY today, i can start the carpet install, as it's been out of the box and laying on the bed in the guest bedroom for the last month or so, getting it's shape back. as Rosanna Danna was fond of saying : "It's ALWAYS something............."

Spent the weekend working on the dash.
Saturday, fixed all the wiring behind the dash, removed all the switches, cleaned and lubed them, dielectric on the connections. removed steering wheel and replaced the turn signal canceller. Cleaned all the air conditioning ducts, inside an out. Sanded the dash frame. Sunday. cleaned, de-greased and masked the dash frame, paint and steering column. Started putting it all back together, but still need to paint the dash pad, and fix the glove box door and paint it. .

Trying to decide if I should paint the lower portion, black or back to tan? What do you think.

Man it is hard to find time to work on things.
But alas, I finally got some, and all the little things are now taken care of. I still need to finish the glove box door but I got it mostly back together.
