I picked up a pair of heads last week with markings I have never seen...any ideas what it's about?

Some 915s. I've had many sets over the years but never had a a set of any Chrysler blocks or heads with this in the castings. I thought it might be a foundry mark but the question remains...who and what? Just a curiosity thing.

I have a set of 915's in the basement , HP stamped , I'll take a look at them and the blocks I have.

That's a really unusual mark. I wonder if it is from an outsourced foundry.

I've never seen a 915 w/ that. Didn't some of the Stage V (or possibly Stage IV) iron heads have marks like that?

Its just a foundry mark. I have a set just like that. They also have 440 stamped under the heat cross over, but there is no cast part # under the intake runner. They were purchased over the counter in 1972. I also have a set with a cast star under the intake runner.

I thought it was probably just a foundry item, added by the patternmakers, nothing special.
