That's really cool. I enjoyed watching it and despite the fact it's a smog era slant six it's still a really cool look back and I love it.

By 79 they got the "rust" issues of these figured out. Too bad they couldn't figure out how to have the grilles stay together - see how the upper left on this one is missing a piece . . . . Yes true. I had an '80 Aspen A38/E58 that was remarkably solid for having been a patrol car in Kentucky for years.Very little bit of rust around rear taillights and that was it.

That car was built at the Newark Assembly Plant, Newark, Delaware, where my dad was the Quality Control Manager. I learned to drive at 14 on the test track behind the plant - driving big Fury 440 police cars.
Hurry up and drive it because once that car sees the sunlight and rain, it will rust apart real fast!
I am not rich...but I get off my ass everyday to make sure I am not broke!
Can we get the Mexican cartels to help us with our supply chain issues? They don't seem to have any trouble getting stuff from one place to another.

"In essence" Yeah it's a one owner, except for the guy in the middle and the dealer now. That new common core math at it again. I know. I get tired of the "one owner" and then you read about three different ones

Yep... ha ha at the end of the day its still only a /6 volare. Nice, but still only what it is. And still a busted grille. A stellar example of an undesirable car.

So it's a candidate for the winter beater thread? IMO no. Something already faded out, slightly rusty would be better. If it doesn't have to be a Mopar than FWD Civic etc.

When my wife and I were dating she was living with this girl that had one that had a fresh repaint in the medium metallic blue and looked really nice except the grille was broken! I tried to buy it but she sold it to some turd that knocked down every corner on it in the first 6 months of ownership.

Rare and desirable (valuable) are mutually exclusive terms. Lots of people don't get that!

Not really. The best selling Barracuda (desirable) was the 1965 version, back in the day. 1964 - 23433 1965 - 64896 1966 - 38029 1967 - 62534 1968 - 45412 1969 - 37987 1970 - 55499 1971 - 18690 1972 - 18450 1973 - 19281 1974 - 11734 The more desirable Barracudas (today) are more rare than the 65. No one is spending 70 Cuda money for a 65. It's all about the time frame.
