Bingo. An added bonus is to warm the gear lube bottle up. Last time I did this I left the bottles a five feet in front of a torpedo heater for a minute or two.

I use a garden sprayer of the correct capacity. Pour in the desired amount of fluid, pump it up and walk aaay until it starts to spit air.

The funnel acts as the bottle holder, but a round bottle in a round funnel cuts of the airflow for a good gravity feed. This is why it has a vent tube below the funnel.

Just elevate the fill side of your axle tube to make sure the gear lube flows towards the center.
