Does anyone know if this guy is still in business? I sent him belts in January to be restored, spoke to him a few months ago and he said my belts would be out in a few weeks. Since then, his web page is no longer working and I have heard nothing from him in regards to my seat belts.

Doesn't sound good on that post. You'd think at least he could have someone send the belts back twocents

I went through this two years ago.

Sent my old belts in April, got the new ones back in September. They were exactly as promised, good quality.

But lots of excuses for delays in between- car wouldn't start, injury, computer got flooded, always something.

It felt like doing business with Joe Btfsplk.

He did a nice job on the seat belts for my Coronet. But it took a lot longer than he promised and he was full of excuses every time I called. Lost my address, had health problems, wife had health problems, dog ate the paperwork, etc. I think he has a dart board in his office with excuses on it and he just throws the dart when you call and gives you one. But in the end the seat belts showed up and they looked really good. He also forgot to charge me for the work so maybe he is just really disorganized.

I too have been waiting over 2 1/2 years…
Had them done and shipped them at one point…he said…then the post office lost the box and damaged a buckle…(didn’t believe him)
Then 2 months later said he is done and is ready to take them to the post office.
Same thing the next month, and the month after that, and the month after that, and the month after that…

He comes across as sincere, but I have never, ever, been lied to as much as this situation.
At this point I’m just staying in contact to get a good eye-roll…

Does any member live near him?
I’d pay to have them just go pick up whatever he has and send them to me.

I would highly recommend anyone to go with Sharon's Web for seat belt restoration. Just received mine back for my 71 340 Cuda convertible, and the job was outstanding.

Dropped them off with her at Carlisle, and was quoted 8-10 weeks. Received the belts in 9 weeks.

She is in Texas at 903-705-2501. swincsharon@gmail.com

I second Sharon's Web for belts. She did a very nice job for me also, but that was 10 or 12 years ago.

He bought all my seat belts at MATS about 5 years ago and I told him I had a roll of NOS copper seat belt material, be said send it and I will pay you well for it. It took me about 6 months to get it too him, never saw a dime... frown

This thread is getting funnier and funnier. Sadly though, no real solution for the OP.

Thanks for the feed back. Like some others, I bought a set of new seatbeats for my cuda. Was hoping to the the set I sent him back. Sounds like that may be a dream at this point. I will say, some of these comments have given me enough laughter to pay for the belts he has though smile

For all the people waitng , was payment already made?
I wouldn't be able to stomach the wait if I had paid up front.

Mine were originally paid for and received, took over 10 months when originally told 2-3 weeks. Tons of excuses…..then after one year in my car, the chrome all rusted up and was pitted….how the hell that happens is beyond me! I sent them back for new chrome buckles to be installed, he finally sent them after another few months when it should have been days….then the ones that arrived, one had a “ding/dent” in the chrome and he got all pissy with me and said “ohhh your one of those guys that want NOS” and I said, No, I just want a decent set that I paid for! He agreed and made more excuses over the months and never sent….I was tired of begging him so he can go and maybe if all the things he claims are happening to him, maybe that’s Karma.
