Did Chysler assembly plants ever paint engines a different color on export cars? I'm looking at a 69 Dart Swinger 340 car built for export to Canada with very low miles on it, and the 340 engine is painted street hemi orange not turquoise. Anyone know? Thanks. I say no and bet it is turquoise under the orange. Can you scrape at it.

Canada never went to metric until 1975 when the clowns that ran the show then decided to do so. More great info. Thanks mccannix.

And at that time, Canada used Imperial Gallons, not liters. If I remember correctly, the Imperial Gallon was bigger than a US Gallon.
