I have a metal clad pole building and once inside the reception goes away to where I have to l go outside to get internet service. Calls sometime come thru as does text but not often. I’m in a rural area so it’s not all that great anytime. Any suggestions on getting a signal in the building?
Do you have WIFI in the shop? If so, us WIFI calling. That is what I do. I get no cell reception through the metal siding. I just use WIFI calling and it does not skip a beat.

Years ago on an older phone I used google voice, it only worked when connected to a wi-fi network. I had a private wi-fi network setup at work as well as home. Had I set up a wireless network in the car, it would have worked there as well.
As I understand it, when using a cellular network, if you've turned wi-fi on in your phone, whenever you're connected to a wi-fi network, it'll use the wi-fi network in lieu of your cellular network. If you're streaming video or music ( I don't ) it'll save you lots of data usage.

Check with your internet provider to see if your cable modem has wifi. If not, you can add a wireless router and you'll be able to connect that way.

You don’t get bars with WIFI calling. You must have a WiFi signal and the phone enabled for WiFi calling. Then you can use the phone for calling.
In my house I get 0-1 bars. Many times not enough for it to work. I put the phone in airplane mode and just use WiFi calling. Works great. Get 0 bars in my metal sided shop.
