Hey Guys My cousin just finished my sheet metal tunnel ram for the Henry J, not too bad for basically his first attempt at making one eh He says he might be interested in making more so if you are interested let me know and I can put you in contact with him. I am sure they will be much cheaper that others of same quality Derrick

is that done with one of those kits ? who designed it ?
Exactly. There is more to fabbing a manifold than welding sheet metal together. Keep us informed how this manifold compares to your previous one.

Looks good. I turned my carbs on the one I built(the last one I built) so that each barrel of the carb is over a runner(turned about 15*). I hope it works well for you... he did a nice job

Hell Ya, First post and in my cousins thread no less.lol. I hope it works well for Derrick, With Fugly's specs and MoPar power Im sure it will rock the house. Me and Derrick talked about it might be good idea to put a radius on the runner entrance in the the plenum. It could help the air speed and reduce some turbulance. If the intake shows some raw fuel on the floor then I will radius the runners. I didnt have much radius on the one I had built for my 493 Challenger and had no signs of fuel problems. Try it and see what happens. Its easy to yank. And thanks for the props guys.

Quick question, Why couldnt you make on out of tin? Use a 1/4 plate for the flange and just weld tubing to it to the top and make a base for the carbs, I know wieght is probly the biggest reason not to but seems like it would work the same.... ...It would still be lighter then a stock intake though....Phill
One thing is that the runners have a taper to them to get the velocity up. I would rather work with alum than steel due to worpage... plus the weight thing

I could see myself making an intake for a set of W2's using some exhaust pipe and a upside down mailbox.....I think I could make the intake look better then the one on the high and mighty, maybe even twist the tubes for a faaster air flow or charge to the heads...Phill
I did some work on that "High and Mighty" car, that intake was the goofiest looking thing I have ever seen, but it was simple and quick to build/test. Its easier to shape the alum than it is steel tubing... but I have made some intakes out of steel... it worked ok but its easier with the alum... JMO

sure, a little bit of a radius would be nice, but, as all can see, it's a simple fix. my hat is off. good job.
