Very rare cars, 2 hemi converts, bronze and lime green both known cars, some say there was a 3rd scrapped long ago possibly in Ga. only 14 hemi hard tops and only 16 6 pak coverts, so with those its only 30 cars total. I am aware of only 3 hemi hardtops, 1 dark green and 2 purple, as for 6 pak converts I am not so sure what is left. Any stories on known cars or lost cars, let's find them and discuss how about the 1.5 Millon dollar 70 rt coronet vert.4 sp 1 of two that was featured on graveyard casz . they say the other was crushed in the 70s

A buddy of mine who I haven't seen in many years - came to my house one day in his red/white interior & top '70 Coronet R/T 440-6 - this was back around 1998-ish. I didn't even realize he owned that car. He worked for years in the parts department of a Chrysler-Plymouth dealership in Plymouth, MI. Last time I talked with him, he got hired by Chrysler doing something in parts. He went through a nasty divorce shortly after all this & he may have turned to s*it & the hogs have ate him for all I know. Damn rare car though!

Thanks for sharing. That is the first Six Pack 70 Coronet R/T convertible I think I've ever seen in my life. Very cool. Is it me or does it seem the majority of the 70 R/Ts seem to have the standard bulge hood? I would think the higher class of car over the Bee. That you would see more Ramcharger hoods.

For the hemi hardtops we have 5 listed, still missing 9 cars, for the 440 6 pak converts we have 9 of the 16 listed, so still missing 7 cars, just remembered a purple 6pak convert from Rockford Ill with very low miles, white gut with auto on the column owned by Mopar 5150 now, of those 16 I think that is for US, not aware of any in Canada or sent overseas. if possible include the options if you remember them, Ramcharger hood, rally dash, console ect. it does seem most did not have the Ramcharger hood, interesting to see what others think on that. Where are those other 9 Hemi cars and 7 440 6 pak converts ? it seems the cars brought up so far no one knows where they are today.

Two in fc7 (one is a canadian car with blk top, the other one a non v-roof car), two in FJ5 (one with white topt&int, the other black top&int) as well as the EF8 green car that was a survivor for a long time till it got restored about 10 years ago. The guy that had the purple Rt 6 pack convert car with the Ramcharger hood that was in my town was preordered, with the specific options he wanted, and was paid for in full on the order date. He told me it was difficult to get the Ramcharger hood on the 6 pack converts. From the way I understood how he told me the story, the dealer had top put in a special request and the car order had to include full payment to get the Ramcharger hood. I spent a lot of time around that car back in the day, he was running a dirt track car I was pulling wrenches on that was parked next to the RT convert. The guy had a pretty amazing collection, he had 3 or 4 Mopars (but not all performance era cars) in his collection he had bought new.

One of those cars I truly wished I had owned. Best I remember the seller and I were $2000 apart , I had $10k, owner was firm at $12k
Ive asked around, but it seems to have disappeared. Last known location was New York . Was sold several years back to unknown buyer

Several people have mentioned the car in the past. Im guessing its in some collection now. Ive not seen or heard about it in years But Yes, hemi , console auto. blk interior Hood scoop emblems were from a Challenger hood I think, said 426 Hemi ( a mild custom touch for the day ) I looked at it back mid to late 80s time frame . I wanted that car BAD. But 10k was every dime I had . He was rock solid firm at $12k Or buy both it and a hemi 4spd 1969 Charger for $22k for the pair . I tried to get a buddy of mine to buy the charger for the $12k but he wouldnt bite Rick Smits bought it and had it for a while. It was sold to some collector in NY area. Im told said collector got into tax trouble and all the cars were sold. And I have no idea where it is today

i think it was sold to joe stentella on staten island... n he did get in trouble... but it wasn't for taxes...
Busted using a pet store he owned for a gambling front, this car must be one of the 2 known Lime cars or would this be a 3rd one ? met Joe at the Mopar nats years ago, he had 4 hemi cars there, orange Daytona, 68 B5 GTX convert, a black 70 RR and a black 70 GTX. He also had a purple 440 +6 RR convert that was in Mopar collectors guide a long time ago, he was a very big man and was chain smoking the whole time I was there, he was friendly, Passed away awhile ago.

At one time, there was a black four speed V code convertible RT in the Westchester/Putnam County NY area. Was an ordered car. It was for sale and came with NOS quarter panels (!) and other good parts. Was late 1980s/early 1990s. Never seen again since.

Rik Smits was featured in Mopar Action in the late 90s and I’m pretty sure that green car was in there. He had a custom 72 road runner with the seat moved back as well.
I want my fair share

Rik Smits showed up at Woodley Park here in California one time years ago in a Lime Superbird, don't recall the engine, it was funny seeing a guy about as tall as the wing.

I think this was at the Nats in Indy, anyway here are the two together.
1971 Superbee 440-6 auto dana airgrabber The resto started: Nov 2004, now its 2024 and its 95% finished. I can't believe it is the same car I started with. 1964 Corvette coupe...always gets more attention than the Bee from the general public.

It was for sale and came with NOS quarter panels (!) and other good parts. Was late 1980s/early 1990s. Never seen again since. Sounds like a great car, do you recall if it had a Ramcharger hood ? Not 100% certain, but believe it was not a Ramcharger car.

I think this was at the Nats in Indy, anyway here are the two together. I know it would be a lopsided trade. And the owner would probably laugh at me . But thats one car I would try to work out some kind of trade my car for in a heartbeat

i think it was sold to joe stentella on staten island... n he did get in trouble... but it wasn't for taxes...
Joe sold the fj5 R/T back in 2010 before he got in trouble. After he sold the FJ5 R/T I bought the FC7 70 Hemi bee of him in 2010. Carsten

No idea if it's still there or even if it's what I was told but a little over 20 yrs. ago I spotted a '70 Coronet 'vert under a tarp in a side yard.Tarp was in sad shape and falling through the top frame. Taillights were visible through the tarp also. Mentioned it to a friend who lived close to it and was told it was a 440-6, 4 spd. R/T and could not be bought for any price. IIRC, it was either V2 or K2. I've always wanted to go back through there but never have. EDIT: This was just south of Jackson, GA if this car rings a bell with anyone.

You might just go back and the timing may be right to buy the car. It's happened to me before. If it is a 440-6 convert, especially in a great color, it could be a home run!
