The cam I bought for my W8 engine was a comp grind with a 0.488" lobe lift with 275 @0.050". With the rockers I was going to use it was around 0.860"/0.780" gross valve lift. It was to be a 346 cube engine with a peak around 8800-9000 RPM. I wanted a gring that would make power that I wouldn't have to throw valve springs at, otherwise I would have gone for something more aggressive. AL...

I never finished it Herb, plans changed and I bought a bunch of R5/P7 stuff instead. Still have some of the parts left over like the Weber Belt Drive, The cam, The Jesel lifters, CFE heads and Intake, Ti Valves, Bryant Crank etc. To be perfectly honest, my wants exceeded my wallet, I don't honestly think I could have afforded to race the darn thing and maintain it. VC360, That's close to what I'm thinking of going to for cam specs. I'm currently running the camshaft I ran with my W5 heads, a Bullet 276/282@ .050". Power is so flat and will rev to 8000. My engine sounds bigger than my buddys 632, I feel like the ex. Valve opens too early(77* BBDC), since the ex. Valve and port are larger and the headers are 3 step (26")with a short 4" collector and muffler. I feel like less duration is needed.I'm going to do something about the 3.55 gears too.

Kenny, I got it together at the end of last week..fired it up Sunday night..might go out this Sunday and make some break end passes on it..
I had to wait 2 weeks on getting the intake back from some minor machining and wait for a new carb spacer...I would have been at the Chrysler Classic if all would of went well..but no big deal..
