I wouldn't use anti freeze at this point either. And you can make an argument either way as to whether to run a thermostat or not. I usually do, but you have to keep a closer eye on the temp as you are restricting the water flow even when the 'stat is open. But I don't use distilled water. At the risk of starting a debate on this minor point, here is an interesting article from Rislone as to why I don't:

Interesting article, and I can't argue against it.
I do run Water Wetter, and usually around 30% antifreeze, once I know there are no coolant leaks.
Whether that offsets the effects of distilled water the article mentions, I don't know.
What I do know is that I have radiators that still look new inside after 30 years, and I never have cooling issues or corrosion in those vehices.
That said, the racecars have no antifreeze in them when they're active, and I have seen dissimilar-metal bonding (steel plug in aluminum coolant passage).

I didn't get to try and fire up my motor yesterday as I had hoped. Still trying to hook up the wiring and since I am using an electronic ignition. I'm still a little confused. I was reading some articles online about starting an engine with minimal wiring that said all you need is a positive battery cable to the starter, negative cable grounded to the block and a wire from the positive on the battery to the positive on the coil. Then either jump the solonoid terminals or use the remote switch to turn it over. Another said another wire is needed from the distributor to the negative on the coil. Also, if I have to have the ballast wired in there because of the electronic ignition, should I run the wire that goes from the battery to the positive on the coil go to the ballast first and then a wire from the other side of the ballast to the positive on the coil?

I also wanted to ask, I currently have the engine set at TDC. What should I do to get the timing closer to where it should be for the engine to fire up asap? I don't want to be cranking it over for too long while trying to set the distributor timing to where it needs to be in order for the engine to start.

Sorry for all the questions but I just want to make sure I get this right so I don't ruin anything.

I set the timing mark on the balancer at 15 BTDC and then move the distributor so the rotor is pointing at # 1 and then check the relucter tooth to the pickup in the Distibutor to make sure it is real close or align to the pickup wrench scope up

UTG Uncle Tony's Garage has a Youtube Video from a few months back that covers how to set everything for a quick start up.

Mopar Action Magazine has a tech article with the same topic covered as well. Carb set up, dist location, ect. Might be on their website maybe? https://www.moparaction.com/2021/01/29/mopar-action-tech-guide/
