Cry me a river. We paid $4.70 a gallon for home heating oil this past November and it's still over $4.00 a gallon now. Then add in a 160-year-old not so well insulated old farmhouse with a few rooms without central heat and I'll take $2.00 a gallon propane all day long. Just venting and letting off steam and some heat 1) Most prices in this thread are significantly more than $2.00 gallon. 2) Home heating oil has 138,000 btu, Propane has 91,000. The difference is nowhere near what you imply.

But I was just venting as I wait for the next 200-gallon delivery of home heating oil.

All this nonsence will be over once Poutine has 2-3 more holes to breath or leak from. His successor (probably a thristy Oligarque) will do the peace. Then, Russia will flod the market with oil/Natural gas and LPG. War cost money, and not a lot is coming in right now in Russia. they are probably selling close to pre-war crude... who's buying??? all our 'friends'..... china,india, ... and some others... the indians are buying up old tankers like its xmas.... china already has the tankers - turn off the transponders , and u are sailing in the 'dark'....

China wanted to punish Australia for publicly demanding truth about the origin of an infectious disease. China’s effort backfired. Australia simply found other ready buyers for the coal. China found out that other coal suppliers demanded more money for inferior coal.
and yesterday china lifted the ban on aussie coal....

They filled my 500 gallon tank to 80% , was at 10% , lowest I ever let it get in 25 years
$ 1.89 Gallon Summer
Much improved over last years contract of $ 2.59 Gallon
I am good well into winter

I'm looking at a 2800 sf home about 70 miles from me - it was built in 2002. It's listed as forced air heat & LP. So here in MI, if I have a 500 gallon tank, how long will that last in the winter? We typically have to start heating in October. Coldest months are Jan. & Feb. I am used to heating with natural gas, so I have no idea how many gallons we use - different unit of measure. This winter, we had a couple heating bills of $380.00 per month.

We were quoted a best price this week of $1.49. Most were at $1.59. We scheduled a fill for next week.

So if you are $3.00 a gallon, you are paying $1,000 a month for heat in the winter? SERIOUSLY?
