Walmart Supertech is made by the same company that makes Mag 1. Very possibly exactly the same fluid.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

If it says type F on it I run it and I race more than most. Mags, Walmart, whatever. I build my transmissions so I see what is going on. Ohhh and there isn’t a much harder test than a 6000 Stall converter on the floorboard with a transbrake.

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph
9.42@138.27

Livin and lovin life one day at a time

Im with pittsburgh racer. Any type f, I have ran a bunch of different brands. Cheapest I found is at rural king providence automotive brand. You can order online and its $5.50 a quart. Last year I bought a few cases of it for $4 a quart. I am also trans brake and 6500 stall converter.

Very possible.

However, Mag 1 oil is indeed the cheap stuff sold to shops that do cheap oil changes and I know a number of guys using Walmart Type F in good transmissions. Not Top Sportsman level stuff. More like Stockers and Super Stockers.

Personally, I would not be likely to use it. Mostly because I try to avoid Walmart.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
