I read somewhere else that the end plates have been known to "pop off". Not saying that's what happened in this case but has anyone else heard of that ?
I've never seen one taken apart nor can I find any pics / exploded diagrams. Are they rebuildable by manufacturer only ? Canton offers a rebuild service.
Morosos are easy to service. A large snap ring pliers is needed. I serviced/inspected mine every off season. They will collect trash.
Refill with clean oil, install, charge to prelube the engine on start up. Reset preload and go,
