Doesn't work.
There are other things that do. Sit down, google nootropics and read.
l'll give you a head start.
Phosphatidylserine Alpha GPC Huperzine A Ginkgo Biloba Bacopa Monnieri
Low T will also contribute to brain fog.

My doctor recommended Prevagen to sharpen memory and I've been using it for about a year. I think it helps with recall and my wife says I'm a little better in the 'memory' department.
Just my 2 cent's worth......
If you "think" it helps, it's not. Get the right combination and the difference is big. You know it. You remember long forgotten stuff from high school, out of the blue, and wonder where that came from. Names, titles of of songs and old TV shows and who did them. Where you left your keys and your tools. Try to learn a new computer task or program, and it's easy. Remember what you went to the grocery store for..
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Can you prove him wrong? Just curious.

As far as Testosterone; get your levels tested before you start take one of these over the counter products you see advertised so heavily now! Last time I had blood work I asked if they could test and doctor said yes, easy test with blood work. My T was high/normal. Good I didn't decide to just start taking one of these expensive things because Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie told me I need it.

but if you don't take that stuff frank and doug are hawking, you won't get the babes rushing to ya ! i have been tested for T many times, and it is right up there, so that issue is at least known. and besides, a person NEEDS everything advertised on tv ! the add say so ! I think some of their commercials are approaching something the FDA should ban. Some of their claims, despite the fine print, shouldn't be allowed IMO. I hate to think of all the people spending money on this stuff when it probably doesn't work AND they may not even need it in the first place.

I have noticed that with most of these commercials the possible side affects are worse than the problem they say they treat. No joke!

Can you prove him wrong? Just curious. Prevagen works for some people, if they have the specific issue Prevagen addresses. Had he said "I know it works", instead of thinking it might be working, had he not had to rely on his wife to tell him he seems better. I would have been convinced.

What is the "RIGHT" combination and v/ or how do you find it ? Read, try some stuff, see how it works for you. Try basic stuff. The stuff I listed is basic. Nothing crazy. Google nootropics and read. Then do adaptogens. It will take awhile. It's not like taking an aspirin and it's better in half an hour.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I never heard of Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie is really short. I don't want to be either of those guys. Both played their sports (at least part of their careers) in Chicago. Frank was with the white Sox. I think his whole career.

Frank was with the white Sox. I think his whole career. Frank Thomas was a very impressive baseball player but IMO had a bit of an ego that I never cared for. Doug Flutie on the other hand overcame his diminutive size for a professional football player and really had an inspirational career and seems to be one of the really nice guys from pro sports. He also was dealing with a stressful situation in raising a son who was diagnosed at three years old with childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), a very rare autism spectrum disorder. His son is now 31 years old and they (Doug and his wife Laurie) have a foundation named after Doug Jr.

I wish they'd ban parmas from advertising! They also say "tell your doctor if you have........" and go through a list of ailments that prohibit you from taking their drug.

Most doctors these days are nothing more than drug pushers, I was astounded to find out that I knew more about tetanus shots than my former doctor.

https://www.acsh.org/news/2023/03/09/why-hideous-prevagen-commercial-allowed-tv-16927The sad thing is that yearly sales dollars of Prevagen exceed yearly Dementia research funding by The National Institute of Health (NIH) not that the total efforts of NIH since 1992 have resulted in a single “clinically useful” drug in the 6 that were eventually approved. By “clinically useful” I mean 95% of caregivers notice a beneficial improvement in the patients behavior, despite what standard tests on large numbers of patients show as mathematically “Statistically Significant” at the 95% confidence level. Skip the Prevagen do some sort of daily exercise, daily eat more Extra Virgin olive oil to help your “Blood Brain Barrier” and get more daily fiber in your diet so as to sleep better nightly. It is not a hopeless situation as the “Tau-ist” school of Dementia researchers are reporting encouraging results lately, and the “BAP-ist” researchers are no longer hogging 90% of the grant money.

i went to see my doc yesterday. we had a good discussion about Prevagen, and after some searching in his data base of drugs and dementia, he came up with something called donepezil. this stuff seems to have a somewhat good track record in slowing down the onset and early effects of dementia, so he thought it might be something appropriate for me to take. also, it's only $6.00, compared to $40-100 for Prevagen, depending on the regular strength or extra strength stuff. my mother passed away rather young at 72, [R.I.P. Mom ! ] and the last year or so, was in a home. after looking back, it seems all her symptoms points to dementia, so that is something i would like to prevent, if at all possible.
