I have not tried that.
Remember Ginko Biloba? That was heavily promoted some 15-20 years ago.

My memory is great but there are times when something that I absolutely should know just isn't there at the moment. It can be very frustrating.
In the 80s, my Brother worked in a convalescent home and told stories of how some residents were losing their minds and completely aware of it. How terrible that must be to see your own demise slowly unfold in front of you.
Certain foods, supplements and drugs surely affect the memory. Pain also seems to reduce my ability to remember things since I'm preoccupied with the hurt.

Doesn't work.

There are other things that do. Sit down, google nootropics and read.

l'll give you a head start.

Phosphatidylserine
Alpha GPC
Huperzine A
Ginkgo Biloba
Bacopa Monnieri

Low T will also contribute to brain fog.

My doctor recommended Prevagen to sharpen memory and I've been using it for about a year. I think it helps with recall and my wife says I'm a little better in the 'memory' department.

Just my 2 cent's worth......

If you "think" it helps, it's not. Get the right combination and the difference is big. You know it.

You remember long forgotten stuff from high school, out of the blue, and wonder where that came from. Names, titles of of songs and old TV shows and who did them. Where you left your keys and your tools.

Try to learn a new computer task or program, and it's easy. Remember what you went to the grocery store for..

As far as Testosterone; get your levels tested before you start take one of these over the counter products you see advertised so heavily now! Last time I had blood work I asked if they could test and doctor said yes, easy test with blood work. My T was high/normal. Good I didn't decide to just start taking one of these expensive things because Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie told me I need it.

I think some of their commercials are approaching something the FDA should ban. Some of their claims, despite the fine print, shouldn't be allowed IMO. I hate to think of all the people spending money on this stuff when it probably doesn't work AND they may not even need it in the first place.

I have noticed that with most of these commercials the possible side affects are worse than the problem they say they treat.

Prevagen works for some people, if they have the specific issue Prevagen addresses.

Had he said "I know it works", instead of thinking it might be working, had he not had to rely on his wife to tell him he seems better. I would have been convinced.

Read, try some stuff, see how it works for you. Try basic stuff. The stuff I listed is basic. Nothing crazy. Google nootropics and read. Then do adaptogens. It will take awhile. It's not like taking an aspirin and it's better in half an hour.

Frank Thomas was a very impressive baseball player but IMO had a bit of an ego that I never cared for. Doug Flutie on the other hand overcame his diminutive size for a professional football player and really had an inspirational career and seems to be one of the really nice guys from pro sports. He also was dealing with a stressful situation in raising a son who was diagnosed at three years old with childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), a very rare autism spectrum disorder. His son is now 31 years old and they (Doug and his wife Laurie) have a foundation named after Doug Jr.

it used to be you went to your doctor when something was wrong with you, he did the examination, had blood tests done if necessary, then investigated the results and using his best knowledge, prescribed any medication he thought might be best to get you fixed up.
along came "change" allowing drug companies to "advertise" on tv and other media [mostly magazines, as the interwebs were not up and running at that time] and suddenly, "tell your doctor you need [insert drug of your choice here] !" so now the patient is telling the doctor what is needed to treat his ills just because a drug company add tells him this will work ?

I wish they'd ban parmas from advertising! They also say "tell your doctor if you have........" and go through a list of ailments that prohibit you from taking their drug.
