A Ramchargers 426 decal would fit nicely if you milled off the 632... This is what I've tried to do with our 505 RB. Hydraulic roller, big cubes, pump gas and lots of grunt. This just makes 400 more HP! It's so tempting to plug one in, add my plate kit to it and just never raise the hood!

I think it is the heads that GM designed for these engines that really adds the power. They really flow well at all lifts to generate that much power at a low engine speed. Peak power is 6600 rpm with a redline of 7000. We're supposed to have the 632 on the dyno sometime in Jan so I'll know more then.

As a lifelong (I'm 61) Mopar fan it's disheartening to see all these gm crate engines and factory support available. And at pretty reasonable prices too. I can see why most young people stay away from Mopars. I agree....I would like to stay all Mopar, but engines like this at the price points they can be had, are really tough to ignore. I would not put one in my Cuda, but my bracket car, could be a different story.

Isn't street price around $30,000 for the 632? With the EFI! Wow, what a deal. Throttle body, injectors, ignition system, electronic control unit, etc. The ZZ632 comes with the engine harness installed and the ECU calibrated/tuned to operate the engine across a wide range.

It is a good deal. I had about $10,000 in EFI costs on the 512 in my Duster. EFI is expensive when you do port injection plus coil near plug (no distributor). The costs really add up when you need cam and crank sensors as well as all of the extra harnesses and the higher end ECU. That engine with EFI cost me about $30,000 total. It was a low deck 512 with ported heads and a Wilson ported intake. It was a nice engine but it was 600/600 not 1000 hp.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

Hell, I don't have even close to $30K in the entire car. Doug How much can you build a 1000hp on pump 93 engine using new parts for?

I guess the question is why do you need pump gas with 1000hp? That much power on the street is usless. If you can afford $30k obviously race gas cost isn't an issue. New parts, budget parts, who cares if it works. Lastly I don't know about anybody else, but $30K isn't in most peoples realm of reality to purchase. Doug Thank you. I don’t even have near that in my B1 headed Keith Black 572 but then again I insist on doing most of my own work. I couldn’t afford to do what I do if I had to pay to do it.

As crazy as the $30K number seems, it is a good value considering what it comes with it. Also from what I can tell they are not having any trouble selling them.

New parts, budget parts, who cares if it works. Lastly I don't know about anybody else, but $30K isn't in most peoples realm of reality to purchase. Doug I build all of my stuff for pump gas, for several reasons, the biggest is mine get driven on the street and I can buy pump 93 at any local station, race gas, no. Apparently, there is a market for a 1000hp pump gas engines, and they will probably sell more of them than they would if they were 14-1 and made 1200hp on race gas or alcohol. Useless? By this reasoning why do we have Demons and Hellcats along with the high hp mustang and Camaro's? After all we only need enough power on the street to run the speed limit, right. Why do guys build 8 second drag cars? Because they want to, the same reasons some will have 1000hp on the street. It would be interesting to see what just the parts and machine work would cost to build that engine. I'm with John in the aspect of not doing this if I had to pay someone else to do most of the work. I'd venture that most on this forum are in the same boat.

Drive a red eye with the traction control turned off and the factory supplied tires. See how far that gets you. I have a 600hp street car with drag radials. Traction is optional. I've driven Dizusters 9.50 car on the street. You can A; spin the tires a long way. B: go fast enough once its rolling to get yourself in big trouble. So 1000hp on the street in a 3300lb car? Would be close to needing a 7.50 cage for strip duty. Not to mention a solid rod end 4 link. Cool yes. Usuable for much of anything? No. Doug
