In 44 years of owning a console 4-speed 69 Dart GTS and judging Mopar shows for over 30 years I have never seen a factory 4-speed console in a 70 Dart, 70-71 Duster, or 71 Demon but the parts manual lists them for those cars only. Has anyone owned or documented (by the fender tag) any of these cars with a factory 4-speed console set-up?

Unfortunately the console was only available with the torque flight transmission.

I can't say I've seen from the factory 4-speed consoles in 70-71 darts but they were very common in the 77-80 Brazilian darts and the Mexican chargers. All were 318 cars. The tach in your picture is a 67-68 tach but I'm sure you know that. Joel Cooper would know for sure, get ahold of him. Joel is an old friend and the fact remains that the 4-speed console and shifter handle are included in the 70-71 Chrysler parts manual, so they had to be available. However, I have never seen any. All that I have found so far were added to them somewhere along the line. It is not an easy modification as brackets have to be welded to the floor, and if they were originally automatic cars then the shifter bracket has to be cut off.

Here is a pic of the 70-71 parts manual, and the part numbers and what body style they fit is there also...

just left over from prior years or due to the availability south of the border - N/A on '70+ US/Canada production a-bodies Exactly, but I have had a few inquiries lately for push button 4-speed consoles, hard for people to understand that they were not made, but had to ask the question to put this to rest once and for all...

I had an A body console shifter handle years ago that was the bolt-on style, not press in. That would indicate they were available in 1971 or newer? I have seen the A body handles bent 2 different ways, and this handle was the less common one. As stated above they were used in Mexican A-Body's, might be where that came from...
