They'll have a 410 hp turbo 6 that runs on regular gas and a 510 hp turbo 6 that uses premium. The charger concept you saw will morph into a 4 door and the new challenger has yet to be seen, probably next spring. Those numbers are no different than my 4 yr old Coyote and fuel economy will likely be similar.....so I don't see the point? Will they finally make a drop top? Doubtful. Laugh at my Mustang all you want but 465 hp, 25+ highway mpg and the top goes down. Pretty fun little summer toy!

If I was buying another modern muscle car it would be a Mustang GT. The Challengers are nice but to big in my opinion.

Not much room in that thing for sure.

They added about 500 places for stuff to leak, more sensors, solenoids, hoses and wires and intercoolers, stupid sound.... trust me it will be a nightmare to work on and not as reliable. They didn't do it for the HP, the real reason they did it is to trick the EPAs MPG numbers and nothing else and real world MPG will be the same unless you drive EXACTLY how they drive it for the test then you will get one or two more MPG. That is exactly what ford did with the ecoboost debacle, it got very slightly better MPG in the EPA test but it is a nightmare to work on, no better than chevy, toyota or dodge in real world MPG and there are plenty of em on craigslist and facebook with bad engines but good used engines are hard to find and very expensive as a result.

Wow. A lot of negative Nancy's here.
Like it or not the Banshee will smoke the new Mustang. I'm not an EV fan, but 0-60 in 2.6 Seconds is pretty impressive.
As far as the Hurricane, not much has been published about them yet. Judging by the 30mpg of the 3.6l Pentastar/8 speed combo in the Challenger I'd bet it going to be 30+ mpg with the HP of a HEMI.
No longer taking $h!t from anyone!

All true and makes you wonder why they didnt just update the hemis. My 392 got 28mpg highway, could they not just put some silly 1.73 highway gear in them to trick the EPA? I am serious - like a gear vendors OD from the factory.

Agreed. I just watched a Tesla run 2 tenths quicker than my HC. All I heard was tires rolling faster! (YAWN) If Stellantis thinks people want these things and they sell, good for them. If not, I guess they company will have to rely on Ram and Jeep sales to survive or not...

I am hoping they are not done unveiling new stuff.

I still say it all comes down to CAFE and they are virtually without a choice. The Mustang may still be with a V8 in '24 but maybe the rest of Phords lineup is allowing them to meet CAFE so that they can still have the V8 Mustang. Maybe Chrysler (or whatever) is finally actually ahead of the game instead of ill-prepared as has been their history. All this said I'm NOT a fan of the all electric and will not be buying one.
Facts are stubborn things.

All this EV crap is going to go away soon. 2024 100% You guys are going to get somebody back in the white house with half a brain, and looks like Canada has healthy right-wing movement started. Come 2024/2025.... we'll probably see all this EV stuff get quietly swept under the rug because both leaders will want to exploit LOCAL oil reserves. And it can't come soon enough. Apparently AirCanada just put in an order for 30 electric airplanes with - get this - an all-electric range of a whopping.... 200 kilometers (120 miles). Now, of course that range can be extended by using on-board, hybrid generators up to 800km (500 miles). Oh, and the thing only seats 30 people. They should just get those 30 passengers to flap in unison. Might extend the range a little.

A CAFE of 55 is outrageous. There's no balance there for multiple types of powered vehicles and sensible, reasonable changes. I'll leave it at that for the General Forum.
