I put the air pressure in the tires and did it with a digital air pressure gage. When the tire pressure showed on the TPM system it was only 1 psi off of the digital gage. So I know it is reading the tire pressure correctly.

Electrical tape wont work for me. The check lights are in the speedo gage and also shows who is calling and what station is on Sirius. It would also cover up the data info when I go to check the other systems. So it will be looking at the tire pressure and listening to the ding ding.

So far the check engine light has not come on and the car starts and gets me going. So I guess the engine is still in the car.

Regarding the Check Engine light....
Note that if this is ON, the vehicle will likely fail the Emission Tests..

Just my $0.02... wink

in this part of Pa, we don't have emissions tests.
however, when going in for the annual inspection, if the check engine light is on, [and the inspector has looked under the hood and confirmed no one has stolen the engine biggrin] it will fail the inspection.
