It started life as a set of heads that Todd Patterson ran on his Pro Stock Truck..but we sent them back to CFE and had a 2008 update program done to them..

I'm real pleased with the engine. Thanks for the kudos!!
There's 20 somewhere... but at this point it isn't worth a few cams, another set of headers, and wearing it out to find it... it'll be fast with what it has...
I know of a certain black car that would run 8.30's at 2950 with that mule... ran .40's with 40 less hp, and 25 less torque.
Would that "black car" be owned by an individual with the initials.....BK??? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif)
Congrats on a fine job.
Maybe I'll flush the nitrous and let ya do me a nice N/A piece.

We had the heads updated at CFE, I did quite a bit of manifold work.. some things have me puzzled in the manifold but over all, good piece.
In the end, it's not a miracle, it's making the power it should make. The torque did surprise me tho... I was expecting 660... high 660's... so it's a good 15 higher which is telling... and it will not make oil temp which is also a great sign.

Here is my guess of the details:
R3, 9" Deck, 4.185 Bore 3.75 Stroke or close, did not calc specifics Small Rod journals - 1.888 Lightweight crank, say 37lbs alum 6" rods max lightened pistons w/ all the bells - 16:1+ Compression Obviously a nice ring pack, I will say T/S non gapless Top .043/.155, T/S Napier 2nd .043/.155 and a L/T 3MM Oil Awesome CFE W8 heads Large b/s cam w/ .900-1.050 lift....wont guess at duration URE Port to 420 Intake Nice Dominator....
How did I do ???
URE make some really nice power!! When do you think you will have it to the track?
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about my updated one.....ring pack?? Or do you have some of the funny, even smaller compression rings?? Good job URE, just because it should work, alot do not!!!!!!!! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) Chris, just curious, how much power, if any, would be lost by only having a 598 intake, done by you also......just curious on your thoughts
