You know, I was pretty vocal several months ago with how I was let down with the constant schtick between Mark and Will and how the overall excessive nonsense started to ruin the show for me. I find it only fair to follow-up.

Night and day difference this most recent season!! Im only 3 episodes in and I love it!! I also have a deeper level of respect for the technical aspects this show has to offer. The depth and extent Mark goes in the Cuda re-body episode as well as the subsequent roadrunner tail assembly was awesome and VERY informative. This 3rd episode with the GSS Demon is also turning out to be an amazing episode.

Im very glad that Graveyard Carz toned down some of the schtick and turned up the mopar content - this new balance is perfect and Im def gonna rewatch this whole season a few times.

Sounds like I should probably give them another chance, but I get tired of the "all numbers, nothing technical" approach real quick.

I should be good for a couple shows before I move on, so that's good...thanks for the heads up.

They’ve started to load Season 13 on YouTube and it’s pretty good. I’m not a fan of the of first few seasons. Mark received a lot of criticism and suggestions over the years, on Twitter and Facebook. To his credit, the show is greatly improved because he did listen to the viewers.

The show s been getting better with the different choices of mopars they are working on now and that Mark has run out of material for jokes.

That my opinion too, too much about "numbers" and not enough about technical of building the car.

The useless "all about Mark" banter is why I record it and fast forward through it.
The show is more tolerable than it used to be, but still needs work.

I quit recording it for several years simply because I could stand listening to Mark's BS.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Sometimes it got old but I always liked Mark because it was obvious he was a true Mopar fanatic from when he was a kid, plus always so grateful there's actually an all Mopar show on TV!!! So tired of Chebby, Chebby, Chebby, Phord, repeat on all the other shows!!!

The only real criticism if you can call it that is with his clueless daughter and us having to tolerate her "learning" (without a lot of natural interest) so that she has a job. But I can't blame dad for looking out for his daughter.

Sometimes, I really enjoy the quizzes. Not when he asks about a particular car from the show. But when he asks about particualr combinations or options that the factory did or did not offer. I learn a lot from that. And once in a while, I know the answer. boogie

Had some early episodes on today. I appreciate the man's knowledge and his approach to restoring/saving old Mopars. I like the segments with his daughter...reminds me of walking around car shows with my youngest daughter(Mark obviously knows WAY more than I do) She will likely carry on when Mark is done....at least I hope so. I appreciate the business that he has built but hearing about him not having anything growing up gets old. Many of us(including myself) had little while growing up. I didn't build an empire like Mark did but I have managed to get along ok....like many of us have. Focus on the cars.....not Mark.

I just like seeing the vehicles in HD on my screen. Could turn the audio off and still be happy with that much. I do use the FF button to jump past the fluff.

No. Just no.

1. Everyone has a learning curve. I highly doubt you came out of the womb knowing where the body numbers on an E Body are located.

2. Alyssa is genuinely one of the nicest people our hobby has to offer. Super nice. Super kind. Very down to earth. She is fun. And who knows, she just may be slower to warm up to our hobby than most. If so, who cares? For the time being, she is playing a supportive role in the show and does a great job at it.

3. She doesn’t have to do [censored] if she doesn’t want to. I’m pretty sure Mark has said she gets the business. She could very easily have stayed doing hair and just sat back, inherited the business and placed key people in the right places to keep it going and manage via proxy. The fact that she is electing to play as active of a role she has speaks to her WANT of being part of our hobby. Does she know what Mark know? No. Can Kim Pegula do what Josh Allen does - no. She is still the boss and supports HER team and no one cares that she probably can’t throw a ball.

I tried it once when the show first came out. That was a solid one and done for me, not sure I made it a full show. There was a build mentioned here and people said things were better. Last fall I gave it another go and have to say it’s way better than before. I’m more into the numbers stuff these days so that part doesn’t bother me. I do like the assembly work they show and wish to see more of that. That’s probably more realistic for the average guy to take in because few of us have the room for a paint booth.

I want my fair share

He should stop harassing Will's kid but whatever. Also, wow, Tony lost a lot of weight!

Yes, there’s a learning curve. But, hasn’t she been on the show for about 10 years? No, I don’t expect her to be rattling numbers off like Worman.

All I wrote is that we shouldn't have to deal with watching her learn during precious air time. I don't find that entertaining. I said nothing about her not being nice, or that she was a gold digger, or anything unkind about her personally. She comes across as very nice and genuine person, but I am talking about the show! It's not a non-profit, it's a show to get ratings and earn money. The show is for the viewers and I expressed my opinion. She could learn the trade then be on the show.

I'm a viewer/customer with an opinion Myrtle. I never trashed her as you seem to think in your response.

Some of the learning he gives her is a bit interesting but they could cut out the obvious stuff, At least she's not afraid of getting her hands a little bit dirty.

Didn't we have a Graveyard carz thread last month? confused

I get a kick out of seeing Tony on the show .. I remember when he raced a blue GTX at my local track here in N.J. before moving to Delaware many years ago.

The shtick/drama is old and i'm tired of seeing it. Also tired of seeing Dougie build motors/suspension(with the exception of hemi's). Need to focus on the actual rebuilding of the cars such as the rust repair/sheet metal work. One of the best episodes was where they where working on rare sunroof car. More building and less drama!

Watched it last night and Tony asked a question of "looking at the '69 Hemi Charger R/T from this side (driver's side left) how can you tell if this is an early ('68) build car or a later '69 build car?" Mark's answer was ":maybe the Hemi callout or.....?" Then Tony says "The black door buttons were on the early '69 build '69 model year cars." Then Mark says "what if the door handles were changed when it was painted or the owner liked the black door buttons rather than the chrome and............" If Mark really knew his stuff he would have shot back with "well I missed that but I thought you were talking about something else that gave it away as an early build "69 model year car and that would be...............?" BTW the fender tag they showed before that scene had a SPD of B13 Nov 13, 1968 and unless ordered the telltales of early or late build were missing on that Charger. I liked this line I heard. "Mark has to write notes about everything, Tony knows these things by heart". Oh and another funny thing was "black door buttons are an east coast thing.... laugh2 But I still watch, muting and fast forwarding a lot, still a Mopar show and still nice to see MOPARS even with the "filler" stuff or Bondo as it should be called. Record, play, mute, fast forward, play, unmute, watch for a moment, mute, activate closed captions, fast forward, play, mute, repeat. wink Liked that GREEN '69 Road Runner they were working on that was in the background at the end, reminded me of one I liked as a kid back in the day. up
