Anyone uses the blue lock tight on them?. Semes like i cant keep them tight

Are you sure it’s not simply gasket crush? You could mark (clock) he bolts and check to see if there is any rotation over time.

It was touque down with a inch pound wrench per manual recommendation doing the rebuild, all was good for a few weeks then that drip when i went to snug it seems they were a little loser than i thought they should have been

I’ve been using a lot of Tractor Supply grade 8 because I can buy them by the pound. But yes I have used stainless and it works great on those too. Everyone gets stuck on the term “removeable”. Heck I use 271 on my oil pan bolts, flywheel bolts, converter bolts, cam bolts, etc.

All cork, rubber coated cork take a compression set over time.

Lube locker is a nice reusable pan gasket. Never leaked for me.

Don't use loctite on the bolts. It's probably seeping through the pan holes. Put silicone in the pan holes and then snug it down tight.
Those pans are notorious for leaking.
Silicone on the pan rail then put down the gasket.
Put it up and let the silicone dry overnight and then tighten down the bolts.

Nope. No silicon on the pan gasket.

Mopar reusable gasket at 130inlb been working like a champ for me for a long time. But I just use steel RE pans

I can’t imagine any better gasket than the reuseable Mopar gasket, especially on a cast aluminum pan.

Available from all FCA dealers. Just tell the parts guy you need the factory pan gasket for a 2003 - 2007 48RE.
