Thanks Rich! Jamie has got to be close to mid 30's-40 years old now? He was just a teenager 20 years ago. Looks like he's doing the same stuff now, as he was then. LOL. I subscribed to his channel. Should be good for some laughs.

His job must not offer dental insurance. Are you employed as an 'Internet Bully' or do you do it by choice?

His job must not offer dental insurance. At least nobody can ever accuse him of lying through his teeth. Lying through his tooth maybe, but never teeth. I just remember that dude being a complete train wreck. We all know the type. Asks for advice; receives "Advice-A". Completely ignores it and does "Something Stupid-B". Then asks "What went wrong?" I have no amount of tolerance for those types.

Do any of the long term members of Moparts know what happened to Mopar Jamie? I know he caught a lot of flak from members here. Just wondering if anyone has kept in contact with him, and how has he been doing? It was sure entertaining while he was on the board. I remember him posting and people giving him crap, seemed like i recall he had alot of projects and wasn't sure what direction he was going at the time.

I admit I was of the same mind and was infuriated more than once. Later on I asked myself "What if his goal was to be a trainwreck?" If that is his goal, then maybe things worked out, and it doesn't matter if I can relate to it. After that... he became more entertaining and I liked his posts more, and would sometimes encourage him to take even more shortcuts.

If someone posted a picture of me and I was missing some teeth, I'd expect to be teased about it. Quit being a bunch of triggered wimps. Maybe missing some teeth is what you need to straighten out your attitude.

I think he got a taste of sex and after that he dumped Moparts. It's common practice to date your cousins in that area. Maybe that was part of the problem.

I don't get on here much, but being a member circa 2000-ish, I am busting up reading this post and it's good to see some old, familiar feces... er faces. I saw "Mopar Jamie" and had to give it a click. No disappointments. People's memories fade. People were just as offended then as they have been in this post. Or do we need a post entitled, "Who from 2000 is no longer here and why." I think this site would still be rocking it if there was a mobile version AKA FBBO, FABO etc. No slight to Tom, but the computer is in our pocket now. Has been for a decade.
I’m listening.

Always enjoyed that guy .Back when Moparts was fun and not just a bunch of angry old cranks. There have always been the curmudgeons on these forums but there also were fun and entertaining members in equal amounts to drown them out. Too many guys don't know how to have fun anymore. Being sarcastic and silly is somehow out of bounds for these people. They can go ahead and be angry and sad all the time. I laugh and smile frequently and am much happier for it. There is a direct correlation between a happy soul and good health. I'd bet that the biggest critics here have multiple health issues. It seems for some, as the color fades from the hair, the humor goes with it. I don't get offended by most things. That is why I am happier than most people. It's hard to discern the difference between sarcasm and banter vs someone who is a genuine [censored] in this medium. The guys that got me into this hobby are into their 70s now - none of their humor has been lost and still roll with the punches.

Tough crowd! Reminds me why I never post pictures of myself. I have a missing front tooth as well. It got broke off back when I was about 8 years old. The biggest problem was, about 6 months before that one got broken off, I broke the other front tooth off as well. The 1st tooth mom & dad got fixed properly, and it was expensive even way back then. They were still making payments on that one when I broke off the 2nd tooth. The 2nd tooth wasn't properly fixed, I'm sure money was involved, but the fix the dentist did lasted until I was in my early 20s before it failed. By then I was the person on he hook to pay. Money for my family was pretty tight then, so we opted for another less then perfect fix. By the time that one failed, the tooth was starting to self destruct. The "proper fix" then involved the teeth on both sides of the self destructing tooth. My dentist at the time insisted that the other front tooth needed to have a route cannel (which was done when it was fixed the 1st time, and then done again about 5 years before that appointment by my dentist, when the original stud pulled out and had to be replaced). He kept telling me that tooth was a natural tooth! His estimated bill was over $20 K, and that was after the estimated insurance payment. No thanks.
At 65 YO, replacing that pretty much missing tooth isn't a very high priority.

[/quot Well damn, as far as I know he didn't die, just lost a couple teeth. Why are you so down on him? In the good old days, when he much younger, he came here asking for ideas/opinions, he didn't (doesn't) have to do things my way (or yours). Now that he is older he has gone his own way, whatever direction that is, still playing with mopars, but apparently had enough of Moparts. Sometimes I think maybe he is right, in the meantime I linger here.
It takes gasoline to interest me.

It was a colorful time on Moparts back then. He has a love of Mopars, and found quite a few of them. They just happened to be the ones 99.9% of most people, didn't care for.
Some of those my now be worth some $$ so who may have been the smartest of all ? One thing I have always had a low tolerance for is bullying, and i feel some here did exactly that to him Sad but true. Some would probably like to take another shot at him. I thought about it some more and remember I was daily driving most of the same type of "normally thought of as non-enthusiast class" vehicle (for instance 84 5th avenue, 72 Polara, 78 Fury Wagon, etc) during that timeframe in the '90s....but our plans for the vehicles were different. I got the Polara, put new exhaust on it, pulled the gas tank and soldered a pinhole in the float so the fuel sender would work, pulled axle shafts to grease the dry wheel bearings, got rid of the plastic timing gear at 75,000 miles before it failed, advanced the cam a few degrees for more grunt, etc...then drove it everywhere. In fact I still have it..... Jamie was not super concerned with stuff like whether the gas gauge worked or if the wheel bearings were dry. He was much more into running them as hard as possible until major issues surfaced, doing burnouts until the tires blew and tore the quarter panels up as seen in the embedded video, and stuff like that. I always saw his activities as almost a "demo derby minus three". Once I thought I understood where he was coming from, one time I tried to convince him to poke the exhaust through the hood on one old thread, but he wasn't having it (too much work, I guess). I also vaguely remember him saying either he, or his GF, got a job at an Amazon. No ill will here, people are just people.

Later on I asked myself "What if his goal was to be a trainwreck?"
I'd have thought the exact same thing but there's one major problem with that line of thinking: Dude was just NOT that clever. But if that were the truth, then he should sue Larry the Cable Guy. Larry done stole his act! It had nothing to do with the fact that he was into "alternate" Chrysler vehicles. Most of us here appreciate pretty much everything Mother Mopar made. It wasn't the fact that Jamie was malicious. Quite the opposite. He had a heart of gold like most simple, country-folk do. I too believe he has some sort of learning disability, comprehension issue or perhaps that all-important missing chromosome. He was (and may still be) his own worst enemy. If a fella had the wherewithal to come on here, fill out the forms to join and ASK QUESTIONS for advice.... you would think that at least ONCE.... that person would actually TAKE that advice. But no. No sir. Time and time again it was "Hey guys, I didn't put wheel bearing grease in my wheel bearings because I couldn't afford any and had to get to the Piggly Wiggly before it closed so I could get a gallon of YooHoo for the missus. Now the front wheel bearings are powder. What should I do? Several people would reply with good advice on how to replace bearings, how to pack them, what grease to use; step-by-step instructions.... Two days later: "Hey guys, I've been driving on dry wheel bearings for three days now and the noise is getting intense. I'm going to keep driving though. I think I'm through the worst of it!" I began ignoring his posts. It was a waste of time to try and point the kid down the right path. He'd never take your advice. He'd never consider logic, or reason or the fact that he's asking a place with a collective knowledge of several thousand years. Like.... why would WE bother anymore? Literally beating a dead horse. But people like him survive by praying on the heart strings of those "bleeding heart" types....

I think you are probably right, or at least I can see it that way as well.
It doesn't seem worth the real estate in my mind anymore, and those entertained by his antics can see him on youtube.

He hasn't posted here is over 5 years. I guess because the other guys he used to jaw jack back and forth about meaningless stuff don't post anymore either. Another guy that comes to mind that would rag on guys like Jamie was Billy B Bad or Bad Billy? Guy had a silver Super Bee, nice car but he'd always rag on anybody who discussed C bodies or trucks. Seemed like he had issues as eventually he started airing his own personal dirty laundry here and didn't post much after that either.

Mark is doing just fine....those two guys just did not have the right "look" for most people on moparts. One thing I noticed was both sold parts, and sold them cheap, real cheap, and then got trashed because the part did not have a lifetime warranty. Mark sold a ton of my stuff, never a bad deal with him, and I still offer a lifetime warranty on anything that came from me. My experience was the opposite of yours.

I kinda miss guys like Oz Hemi, and the dude from Venezuela .... was that the real Diego? Can't remember....
Always liked hearing stuff from another perspective. The Mopars from Oz are incredible cars and I loved Diego's enthusiasm for the old American Iron. Crazy to think our old junk is now on another continent being loved-on harder than if it were at home.

He had the red Duster and later the 40something coupe La’ Pautita (?). He posted a long time ago about getting the cars back out, but never heard a thing after that. He’d run at Barona Dragway.

Are you talking about the guy from Peru that made the Mopar scoops, pistol grip handles, and torque boxes? Used to be Scott Smith's partner in Mopar parts? He is on Facebook nowadays...

I loved Diego's enthusiasm for the old American Iron. You seem to have me confused with Domingo. While he receives kudos here for his appreciation for old iron, I tend to receive consternation.

It isn't that hard to understand. That's because you always come across as a self righteous know it all pr*ck who thinks his opinion is the only correct one. Does that explain it simply enough for you?

^^^^ Another guy who's insecure about his own opinions. Who knew there were so many snowflakes here? Seems that you are not scoring any points here or with women. I suggest "fresh tactics".

Well, I sure didn't want this thread to turn into a sh!tshow, but some members decided that is what it should be. So much for finding out if someone is doing well. Ted, just lock the thread...
