After 12 1/2 years, I just got tired of looking at the hood and flag on the front fenders, and also hearing about the chevy hood being the reason my car runs good. So I set out to install the Hemi hood and take the checkered flag off the front fenders, and ended up sanding the whole car and painting it because the color didn't quite match . It will take some getting used to, lol, but at least the Hemi scoop is on now. More pics when it's finished bolted back together. Do you like it better this way? here is the old paint

Car looked good before, I assume your going to post pics of after as well? As long as you like it, it doesn't matter what we think.

this is when we discovered it didn't match. the paint on this car is almost 13 yrs old, and I knew there was a chance this would happen, and sure enough.

thanks smokinwoody. just trying to get used to the change. should have all the outside back together this weekend. Tailpanel, parachute, and front bumper will help alot, I think.

where are the holes thru the top of the scoop like i showed you ???? Mine haS stayed on so far
They are in there, lol. At the front anyway. I didn't get the motor in yet to see where the carb is going to be for sure. I think it will be fine. I don't plan on going too much faster with this car. And you have been 160 plus mph, so I'm sure my measly 145 to 150 will be ok. Thanks again for your help Tony.

I prefer the cowl hood myself. Like the color, maybe add a tail stripe? Mike Gray
