That's a three speed, for what it's worth.

BTW, how did you figure that?

Don't you me - you are assuming I'm right!

But here's my understanding:

1960 300-F 4-speed was truly a limited edition vehicle and not offered after that. I've seen a few '61 300-Gs with 3-speeds and was familiar with the shifter configuration. Max Wedge stick cars were 3-speeds till '64, as far as I know, so Chrysler Corp didn't have a regular production 4-speed till then.

On a side note, when I lived in Detroit, I went to the Mopar show at Centerline. I remember a silver '69 GTX with the pewter interior in the parking lot. Some guy was showing curious people like me, and that's where I caught a glimpse of a '63-4 Newport (?) with that funky 3-speed. . . anyway, chances are that pic you indicated is a '61 is a 3-speed car.

Supposedly there were only 7 4-speed 1960 300F cars made. 6 hardtops and one convertible. The convertible wasn't supposed to get it but one turned up.

The other 300 shown is a 3-speed. I believe that car pictured is a '61.

There was a B-W T10 4-speed available in some 1963 models before the 833 was ready.

60 Chrysler 300's with the optional 400 horsepower engine got a French-built Pont-a-Mousson 4-speed transmission. VERY limited production as noted above.

A few B-body Dodges and Plymouths got a BW T-10 4-speed in the 63 model year, but except for the handful of Pont-a-Mousson equipped 1960 300F's, no "Chrysler" got a 4-speed until the 64 model year when Chrysler Corporation's own A-833 4-speed was introduced.
