04 Ram 1500 quad cab, 5.7 Hemi, 3.92 gears, 17" wheels, aftermarket leather interior, Mopar Performance hitch, bedliner and nerf bars. Has superchips program and cold air intake. No other engine mods. Has not given me much trouble, have 65K miles on it now. I like it alot, just wish it had about 200 more HP. Thinking about upgrading to a diesel, but hate to get rid of it. Don't have much call for a diesel except for a few months in the summer. May just buy a used diesel and keep this one.

My next baby is a 1989 D150, 318, 2.53 gear, with 240,000 hard miles. At least 100K of that is towing miles. My friends nicknamed it the "Race Truck" because I towed at 80mph with it and beat most of them driving cars back from Carlisle and the Nats repeatedly. I think it's lived so long because the 318 never had enough horsepower to hurt itself.
No tranny cooler, just a brake box and a hitch. Knock on wood, she hasn't given me much trouble, just a few a/c compressors, one starter and a cat. converter, I threw away.
Bought it with 50K miles on it and will probably be my 10 year olds first vehicle.

'68 D300, former CP dealership tow truck; one owner/former 318 now getting a fresh 440, rebuilt NP435 and the rebuilt D70 w/3.73 and powr-lok. Set-up for towing 5th wheel trailer(s), both vacation and enclosed car-type. Should tow nicely AND maybe get 12-16 mpg, we'll see shortly!
Nice truck. Don't be dissapointed if it doesn't get quite that much gas mileage. I have a 69 4X4, mild 440/727 with 3:55s and 33 inch tires, got about 11 on the last trip. I like that 56 Plymouth wagon in the background. I know this is a truck forum but I'd like to see some pics of that.

“…….Where do you guys find these big engines?.......”
I got lucky and found mine in a local junk yard. I found out after the fact that it was one of 70 2WD Utiline Shorbeds with a 440 that Dodge built in 1976. (Still has the original engine.)
1957 Plymouth (Hemi, Dual Quads, A833 4 Speed 9 1/4 w 4.10) Sold 1937 Dodge Pickup (Hemi, 6X2 intake, 46RH, Dana 60 w 4.56) Sold 1968 Plymouth Valiant 2dr sedan (354 HEMI, 46RH w/4.30 gears) under construction

Here's the "Grey Beast". It's been a good truck. I don't think I posted it before but it is finding a new home this Friday. All of my Mopar friends in the area have owned it. It started life a solid southwest truck, with a pushbar and a 3" lift. It's a D150. It ran with a built 318 for a long time and has embarrassed quite a few nice musclecars and corvettes. One of the last mighty things it did was pull itself out of the lake, valve cover deep with a boat and trailer attached to the back.

No. Spare tire is under the truck in the back. It is a tool box. I guess they were optional????? I don't really know.
