I had two thoughts after watching this... 1. What a slice of history! 2. What a freaking disaster!

Been nice to actually SEE something I can’t see in the dark, what a joke filming this. Did Ed die?

I used to get excited about stuff like that but it is generally held hostage and will never be put back in working order or enjoyed by an enthusiast. So many parts that could help so many people and one guy hordes it all so it can die a slow death. My dang father does the same thing. He has some awesome poorly stored FE Ford parts that he will never use, but won't sell either. Sigh.... It's neat to see, but all that stuff will be junk soon.

if someone could be a voice of reason with this guy he could start to sell off most of the cars and maybe just maybe some will be back to life and he can see them before he dies. i see endless possibilities with that stash or horde as some call it.
what a waste
depressed now that i watched that
Thank you Kiddart

Lets stop the nonsense Karen's. You are self-projecting. Do you know Ed Miller, have you ever talked to him, seen him at swap meets? But somehow you know who he is, huh. Everything is for sale and most at reasonable prices. Get off your couch and go buy it. Not everything there is his. Some of it is other who have left it there until they can get around to it. He has been parting out cars for 5 to 6 decades. So he got his money out of those cars. Still fixes cars and builds motor and trans for folks. What was a slant 6 duster worth in the late 70 or early 80. You probably paid someone to remove it from your yard. Now that we are in the 2000 all of a sudden everything is worth a fortune. Ed saved most of that from a car crusher, but no he did not spend 100K to build indoor heated storage for it in 1980. Who knew better? He has probably owned more hemi cars, superbirds and A12 then you will see. Fixed and sold them. Long ago. He was the go-to guy before the reproduction phase of the hobby and many dealers in the hobby bought in bulk from Ed back in the day. So just shut up, you are starting to sound like Brandon's. He can’t take an hour and do something with that PST? It doesn’t have to be a [censored] show with parts rusting away. If he is overwhelmed then get some help or get rid of the stuff. It’s nothing to do with being a Karen or a Brandon. It’s common sense. Clean that [censored] up and take care of it.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I agree it’s his stuff his place his to do with whatever. Back in the day we worked with what we had, in the driveway, in the dirt or behind the house. Most don’t have the time or money for ‘proper’ storage, I certainly didn’t, his place looks real close to mine. It’s a hobby, if you get to it fine if you don’t that fine too.

Hmmm, just wondering how many of the respondents here are old buggers like me. When you start getting up in your years all the junk you've collected is the sum of your life. Everything has a memory associated with it. When it leaves, part of your life goes with it and the thing that remains is the cold reality that you're now on the downhill slope. Over the past couple years I've been getting rid of some sh!t. Among the stuff was a ton of vinyl records - sold as a lot (luckily). But when I dug them out I quickly went through them and do you know, I could remember when, where and how much I paid for every single one of them! There was some sadness seeing them go but I can tell you that what I got for them was a lot more than 50 cents apiece that they bring in a yard sale once I'm gone! I also look at a lot of folks I know that have passed. Some have left behind a mess of stuff for their family to deal with - stuff that, had they sold before dying, would have brought in a fair bit of coin. Instead most of it went into a dumpster. The flip side is the case of my father-in-law and brother-in-law who in both cases spent their final days in an 8 x 10 room with the last of the worldly belongings in a dresser - and two drawers were empty.
Yes, we all say these old buggers should let it go but that stuff gets them mobile and out of the house every day. Its what's left of their life. And besides, they may have already set things in motion for disposal when they're gone.
So all that said, how do I reach Ed Miller ? Seriously !!

... how do I reach Ed Miller ? Seriously !! Ummm... start in the center of this map and begin by driving around yelling his name REALLY LOUD. I'm sure you'll find him in no time since there's only about... 1.7 million people who live in this part of Virginia.

from some tidbits I gathered from the video I would have thought he'd be around Rochester, NY or Leroy, NY. But this is awesome info. Thanks.

You can't stand it unless you get to tell someone else what they are doing wrong. Must be pretty lonely for you at the top. You really have no clue and clearly have not even looked at who he is. Drop everything else going on to take care of the PST that apparently only a few of you care about. Go start a go fund me page and buy it; put your money where your mouth is. He doesn't have an obligation to do something with the truck because you think so? It is his truck. He is living his live the way he wants, why do you care. Those guy had no right to film and post what they did, they came to see him and buy stuff which they did. Some of you just have to criticize regardless. Hope it make you feel better about yourself.

Some of you guys just won't understand the fellow with a fleet of bad ass cars. It just slowly happens. If the person is in a financial position to hold on to things and not worry about them so be it. I am 43 and guys in the 20-30 range look at me the same way.
If you aren't going to finish it sell it they say. That statement is spoken innocently considering they don't understand the cost of parts, trucks, trailers, shop buildings and the time it takes to make money to support it all. Then you add a family. And then some of your projects sit while you focus your limited free time on a few select builds. Well that is how it goes here anyway. Instead of working on my stuff I am goigng to look at a side job tomorrow lol.
Considering a place stocked like that I would imagine the operation is no secret to many of the East Coast guys. There is a good reason most if that stuff is still where it is.
Lastly when I worked at the race shop, cars and drivetrian compenets did not get sent to the "back room" because they were hot selling items in great conditoon. Don't judge a book by it's cover especially at an old race shop.
